Toseland to take Elias's spot?

I would be very surprised if he did given his situation in the world superbike championship. Bad idea i think.

Hmm....well Gresini seems to be in talks with him already. I guess this would be a great opportunity for him to see how JT goes on a motogp bike.

Well there is a break in WSB for about a month until Brno so I think its very likely that he will ride at Sachenring and Laguna.

Brno clashes with Laguna

You got me there.

Get him riding at Sachenring then, I want to see how good he is on a GP bike.

i agree.

Wonderful.

A. We can see how he does on a GP bike.

B. Haga will run away with the WSBK title because JT will lose his focus.

A win-win situation as far as I'm concerned!!

Haga is never going to win a title as long as thre are other riders.

Bayliss is better than him, so he has no chance.

Good idea as a one off while card, bad idea if he were to do more than one race. He should first lock up a WSBK championship. Doing this will mean we will more than likely see him in GP next year. But then again, he could get hurt (but that could happen anytime).

I say, do it. Hell, what if he pulls off a Bayliss-Valencia 06...

Get real, the Honda is rubbish and he wont know the track at all, and has barely ridden a GP bike ever.

I'd like to see a Brit in MotoGP, maybe one that can actually get somewhere in MotoGP. I met James on Saturday at Donnington, he seems like a nice chap, I just hope he makes the right decision.

Keep telling yourself that, bud.

Zero percent chance that JT will ride in MotoGP until the WSB season is over. There is absolutely no way that Honda will allow it with a championship on the line. I think it's far more likely that we'll see Hodgson riding the bike for the remainder of the season.

I doubt JT will race in Elias place. Gresini might like the idea, but I doubt Honda wants his WSBK nº1 rider to focus in other stuff other than WSBK.

And I'm not too sure JT himself wants to do a single race in the worst bike of the grid (bar KR212V) he would probably end up dead last, and that wont really do much for his image, and in terms of GP experience I don't think it will help that much cause I bet next year's Honda will be very different.

Dunno who will replace Elías. Hodgson ... maybe. Fabrizio??

I hope not! Would love to see how Toseland performs an a GP bike but doubt this is the right time for him to prove himself in MotoGP.

Like someone else has said, it would be terrible if he didn't manage to do well on the bike and lost any chance of being signed by a major team come next year!

Bad idea for JT..... Just wait for your ride next year and focus on winning the WSBK championship! Though i dont his lead will last long!

Its a good move for him, he was never going to get into Repsol Honda and this is the next best thing.

I'm sure Honda will fix their problems, they are used to being a success.

I read that Hodgson was returning to AMA with Corona Honda, i doubt a GP ride would be wasted on him... Give someone with some potential a go..
