Harris loves Brands, I hope his heads back in place this year.

Good to see that Fast Bike's Alistair Fagan has moved up from Supersport to the Privateers Cup.

Much as I respect GSE for being one of the most sorted teams in the paddock, I really don't want this to be a cakewalk for them. As discussed earlier on this thread, the decision to build their own bikes and the testing time it's cost them may have bitten them on the arse already. I remember American Honda severing the expensive factory lease support and taking the same cost cutting 'Ten Kate' route some years ago in AMA, and they never caught up again.

To answer your question about Ellison, kez. I was there today, the engine died on him after a couple of laps. They had to change the engine, so I get the impression GSE are only running one bike per rider, as Ellison didn't come back out until the afternoon session, and when he did he only seemed to be running the new engine in, as he wasn't giving it full revs and was basically pootling about.

WTF is Steve Plater doing there instead of Brookes? Is Josh injured or something, cos I thought Plater was racing BSS this year.

Great to see Harris going well again, but I still reckon Rat Boy will have him in both races if he's matching his times today. Also really good to see Kirkham going pretty well, and I never expected Mason to be right up in the top ten.

Work permit problems apparently. (He should have applied for a student visa from Karachi, would have been in the country in a nano second.)

The Yamahas seem to be gathering speed bit by bit. My money is definitely on the GSE team to beat Rob Mac. Lowry was quick this morning which is exciting, but Harris continues to be quickest. We should be in for some good races and with the entrylist being so long this year backmarkers may well feature in the outcome of the race.

I'm not getting my hopes up. Richards, Guintoli and Camier led the final practice. These three could easily be the ones fighting out the title if they are the best representative from each of their teams, but i'm not writing Ellison off yet. Qualifying is on now so lets see.

I might head down tomorrow for the races if the weather looks acceptable, anybody got any strong views where i should sit. I know brands pretty well and i'm torn because i love it all.

Eep, well. Better than last year would do me fine, few less horrific crashes at the very least haha.

Hadn't seen any pics or vid in a while.............that Hydrex bike is stunning

I'd love to have a replica in the garage.

Forget the KTM RC8 Cup, Sean Emmett of all people is now hammering around Brands on a Harley Davidson XR1200 to promote the upcoming race series next year. That'll be hilarious to watch - can't wait.
