That didnt last long

You like the .....

Speaking of ...., anyone watch "Spartacus: Sand and Blood on Starz. The Romans were hung up on the Phallus were they not. It seems as if the culture revolved around a boner. In this mini series, the men and women are obsessed with the word ..... Good show though, drinking, fighting and ......., with a pinch of political back stabbing

I watched the first season. Definitely worth the watch.

I liked her. She is a fellow Sotonian like myself as was Benny hill ,Will Champion,Craig David to name a few. She was no better or worse than Suzi Perry imo.

Sorry to let your secret society info out of the bag, but Soton is a shortening of Southampton UK.

Re Gow : Fck no. Glad the tart's gone. If the Beeb must have a burd then how about Vicki Butler Henderson or Amanda Stretton?

Suzi was at least interested in the sport (and some would allege interested in shagging the sportsmen) and you may not have "fancied" her - looking at you Tom - but was the BBC presentation better with her than without her? For me Suzi - better with; Gow - better without.

A better front -"person" for me would be Matt Roberts in a glorious non-PC world.

I agree. Get rid of the rest and keep Matt.

I never liked Suzy due to her incessant flirting both on screen and on twitter. I watched girls send her tweets and get ignored. Every tweet she posted started "hello chaps" and then posted a pic of herself. She needed male attention to function! But....She knew the sport and liked it and that's the main thing. I only saw Jenny a few times, but it just made me wonder how on earth she got the job...

Well the race coverage was i think, no better or worse. The woman presenting it is the least of their worries, i try to avoid watching it as much as i can. But i thought the season review they did at the end of 2010 was the best bit of motogp programming they have created to date. Bottom line, like anna i found Suzi's constant flirty demeanour to be cringeworthy. Gow wasn't really that smooth but at least she seemed far more sincere.

To me sincere does not mean sounding like you are reading (or indeed misreading) every word. Suzi was a much more professional presenter, she put guys at easy & resulted in far better, less tense & awkward interviews.

That is fair enough, i guess we just disagree about which useless woman was less .... at being a part of a dreadful TV show. Eurosport wins

Matt Roberts will be the new face of MotoGP on BBC television.

Roberts, who has been a member of the BBC team since 2006, will start his new role as presenter at the first race of the season in Qatar on 20 March.

"This is a sport I am very passionate about and the opportunity to share it with the TV audience is a very exciting prospect," said Roberts.

Every race in the 2011 season will be shown live on BBC Two with MotoGP Extra following the race on the red button.

Charlie Cox and Steve Parrish will continue in the commentary box with Azi Farni joining the team as pit-lane reporter.

"I'm absolutely delighted to have been asked to front the MotoGP coverage on the BBC this year," said Roberts.

"I'm really looking forward to working with Azi Farni, who is an established, enthusiastic and highly respected reporter, and it is always great fun to work with Charlie and Steve, who need no introduction!

"I'm convinced we will make a strong team and most importantly cover every aspect of what promises to be a truly memorable year in the most prestigious class of motorcycle racing."

Farni has worked in motorsport since 2007, starting with the World Rally Championship, before joining MotoGP in 2009.

For the last 15 months she has been working as a reporter and is already a well known face in the paddock.

606: DEBATE Have your say on MotoGP "I'm really looking forward to joining the BBC team. I always used to watch MotoGP on the BBC, so it's a dream come true to be working with them. The last year working in the paddock has been an incredible experience," she said.

"With Rossi working his magic on the Ducati and Stoner clicking straight away with the Honda, I think we could see a really close title battle between four or five riders this time around, with a lot more riders finishing on the podium than last year. I can't wait for it all to start in March!"

Mark Wilkin, executive producer of BBC MotoGP, added: "I am delighted that Matt is taking on the role of main presenter for our MotoGP coverage.

"This is a natural progression for him as he's a very talented broadcaster and his knowledge of the sport is second to none, and we welcome to the team reporter Azi, who is a well-known face in the paddock and is very passionate about the sport."

Live MotoGP races will be available to watch on bbc.co.uk/iplayer for seven days after each race.

I have also seen it alleged that all races will be live on BBC2, I have my doubts about that.

EDIT:

The BBC will bring you comprehensive coverage of the 2011 MotoGP season, which begins in March.

Qualifying from every race will be available on the BBC Red Button and the BBC Sport website (UK users only).

We'll also be showing full coverage of the 125cc and Moto2 races, including qualifying.

Yeah.

BBC should have a competition to have a different "superfan" present alongside Matt Roberts for every GP. Now THAT would be worth a watch (and listen).

Yeah.

Im taking no chances this year! Last year was a joke on the beeb! 125 & Moto2 not shown consistantly. For god sakes they even flicked over to some equestrian bollocks halfway through one 125 race.

Signed to cable! Eurosport from now on for this pilot

all the races are on BBC2 as a rule

USA Rounds etc are sometimes on BBC3 depending on tv coverage because of time zones etc

Motogp Quali 125.Moto2 have all been on the red button sky / freesat i think

BBC Red button on freeview ch301 sometimes does miss out on some stuff

btw

As red rocket pointed out, it's subject to change without even telling us. I have enquired about the way Moto GP is treated & it's all a brick wall, the only answer you will get is "it's a minority sport". So the best thing to do is get an HD tv & a pc/laptop with an HDMI cable & subscribe to motogp.com's HD coverage. None of which is cheap. Budget cut & inept producers, ....'em.
