Hey Guys

Ok, I am going nuts trying to find out any info on getting into the testing at Valencia after the last race of the year.

Obviously it would be an awesome test to get to, and we are going to the race also, so are hopefully gonna hang around an extra couple days to see if we can find a way to get in.

But Ok, I have emailed and rang so many people and so far come up with - nothing!
<

It shouldn't be this hard to get into a test should it???

Does anyone know if you can get tickets or vip or anything from anywhere???

Please Help~!!

Hey - thanks for your quick reply!

Yeah that's what I thought you could do! But so many people have been saying it's a private thing, and no public is allowed access, which don't make sence, cause if it was a private thing, then what's with all the photo's and videos everywhere
<

I don't know, maybe will just stay the extra days and just go and see
<

I don't know anyone that has ever been, that's why I am a bit worried about it!

Welcome to the forum by the way....and I think Rog it right, you can sit in the stands for free, but I would get confirmation on that from one of the locals that might post on here.

i went to valencia in 06 and met up with a couple of forum members. i had to fly back sunday night but one of the member i met up with was staying to watch testing on the monday. im sure he told me they do it every year.

if your staying a couple of day and cant get in (unlikely) there's always the beach a few miles down the road.

From what I recall testing is free and open to the public. Hopefully Teo catches this thread, he would know. If he doesn't try to PM him. Teomolca.

Thanks for the info guys - appreciated.

It makes me feel a tad better to know there is a chance of getting in afterall. Just wanted to know for sure, before I change the flights and hotel etc.

Will Pm them if they don't post on here tonight thankyou.

Wow, that would be cool. BTW, does anybody know why they don't test in the US?

I guess its too far from the factory bases to ship the parts over or make a special journey for it, but thats only a guess.

As for Valencia i am unsure, but my dad went to Portugal testing for free after the GP. I would expect it to be open and free.

I've been there to watch F1 testing a few times but never MotoGP, if it works in the same way you just go there and buy a ticket in the main entrace entrance, that allows you to be in the tribune just above the pit lane (only there, you cannot walk around the rest of the circuit).

The price of the ticket depended on if Alonso (Spanish driver) was present or not. If he was there then you had to pay 4 Euro IIRC, if it's just nobodies (the rest) then it's free entrance.

My guess is that for MotoGP testing there's much less attendance so it will probably be free or quite cheap.

But I'm not sure it's a public test, sometimes if the manufacturers demand it, it's a close test session in that case nobody can access the circuit.

Sometimes it's announced in the media, if I hear something in the Spanish sites about public acess I will let you know.

I am off to Valencia too.

Do you have any idea about the Days of Champions this year?
Normally they have one on the Thursday but I can't information about the 2008 one anywhere. And the Motos Solidares (Spanish Riders for Health) site seems to have died.

Hi Sally

Yeah there is a DoC in Spain, you have to get your names put down on a list and you pay on the day, not sure if the list is booked up yet, but it's worth a go
<

If you want to ring em, ring the uk riders and they will do it for you
<

Thanks for all the info guys, I think we are gonna take a gamble and go, if we can't get in, we can always chill somewhere, listening to em

Hi Nicky and welcome to the forum.

We are travelling down from Jersey to watch the gp and hopefully also the official testing.

Have you had any joy yet from Riders to get on the list for the DOC ??

Hey Chanchan! Did you ring Riders? Cause they got us on the list, they can get some more peeps on it!!!

What are you doing for testing, are you just turnin up??

Cant seem to find any official media relating to what days the testing starts. Got hold of the lady at the campsite where were staying to find out. Does anyone on here know if the official testing starts on the monday after the Gp or on the Tuesday. She seems to think its free but she is going to the track for me today sometime and when she replies i will post it for all to see

I recall the Monday after at Valencia being some sort of press/sponsor day when all and sundry get to ride last season's bikes and the actual 2009 testing begins on the Tuesday. Last year Schumi rode a bike, I wouldn't mind seeing that either
<

I rang Riders today, I wasn't put on a ticket list but I provided my email addy and will be sent the programme once it is finalised. I was also told that I can buy tickets on the day.

Which is posing another problem, public transport link to the track on the Thursday?

With the press/ sponsor day

i wonder if that means we can go and see that. Be a shame to go all that way and miss it.

with DOC i think the train from the track into valencia is running but i will confirm with my contact
