Wilson suffered a collapsed lung, broken back, broken rib and a broken shoulder.

MA....that was the initial report.  I agree broken back isn't very specific.  As far as I know there is no paralysis for the young lad.

Great.  Been watching the Inside the Outdoors series and the Ryan Villopoto - A Champion doco.  The sacrifices these guys and their families make to get them to the big time is amazing.  It makes it really personal when you learn of their background and struggle to rise to the top.

Villopoto was definitely on it.  I thought we might see the battle of the gingers between RV and Trey Canard but it never materialized.

Dungey with the home win.  The 2 Ryans are basically the class of the field in Motocross right now.

RD would not be denied...I think RV is in conserve mode, didn't seem to put up much of a fight.  These two guys should be fun to watch outdoors as well.

The last 8 laps between Dungey and Villopoto was awesome.

Dungey slowly slowly closed him down.

Agree RV didn't seem to fight that hard once RD had got passed.

Except for the last min dash on the last lap.

Great race ;)

anyone know why Stewart pulled off track?

I think he tweaked his wrist?  I'll have to look around today and see if that's the official statement from JS7.

Seriously good race between the 2 R's.  Love both of these guys.

Why the hell does Stewart even bother?  The guy was fast, not so much anymore, but he seems to lack feel.  The front end lose in RD13 was as soft as they come and he had plenty of time to save it.  Then in Rd14 he pulled off.  The guy is just soft and should give it away.

Ive always felt that athletes that raise the level of their game because of factors such as performing at home or performing against a former team are not worthy of the millions of dollars are paying them.

You are hired to maintain your highest level of performance every week, not when it suits you.

RD has not ridden like that all year. It was pretty obvious that he was pushing harder because of the hometown crowd

Go Pro has great video from RVs helmet cam of the exchange between him and RD

I agree about home race lift but I think RD has mainly been suffering bike set up issues.

I think RV would have smoked him if he needed to but that is why is probably such a good race.  Most SX 450 races are spread out more that a MotoGP race so to have 1 go down to the wire was a nice change.  Regardless these guys are pushing so hard these days and the bikes/tyres are incredible.

Even as a RV bopper I would hope that RD has found something in his setup.

That was a great race and I would love to see them push each other that hard every week.

ill have to look at the points but last I checked RD was still right there so there still could be a championship run in him.

This week RV will be at his home race

Yeah it doesn't take much to drop 20 points and RD will be right there.  I too am a RV bopper.  My interest/access to viewing AMA SX/MX just happened to, purely by coincidence, be his first lites race.

My bopperism for RD trails only 1% behind that for RV.  Especially since watching his episode of the "Inside the Outdoors".  I have been very critical of his lack of animal but it makes his success even more impressive in a way.

Two Euros have a chance at either 250 title this season. I guess they can adapt to North American tracks.

Yea, and they should be even stronger when the outdoor series begins.  It's a good thing for everyone in the US that Herlings isn't racing over here, that dude is badass!

Wow, one of the best 450 races this year, congrats to Villopoto for the three peet.

Wow, epic melt-down for Roczen, and Tomac!....WTF guys, so it comes down to Vegas for the lites category.

Congrats to Will Hahn and Ken Roczen for winning the Lites championship last night.

Bring on Outdoors!

Round 16 was an awesome 450 main.  Villipoto is on a fast track to being handed the GOAT label from RC.

Round 17.  Man I love that track.  Whilst I was watching it I was thinking it was SX version of Desert Racing.  Kind of fitting being Las Vegas.  The long flat out sections with the high speed jump with no landing ramp reminds me of some of the footage from Australia's great Desert Race - Finke where they jump off sand dunes at 150+k/hr and fly massive distances.
