Valencia 2015. "Márquez y Pedrosa hicieron su carrera. Nunca le pregunté a Marc. Lo que hizo sólo lo sabe él. Hiciera lo que hiciera, lo hizo razonado. Es entendible lo que hizo".

"Marquez and Pedrosa rode their race. I never asked Marc. What he did, only he can know. Whatever he did, he did it for a reason. One can understand what he did."

Get the fires burning again? This is like throwing a match at a forest fire.

Why did Marc do what he did? It all started here imo,

and then this,

What you see here is one rider battling hard and another rider with total disregard for the other.

The more I look at that incident in Malaysia in 2015 the more I am convinced that Rossi was the weak minded fool to Marquez's inciter. I feel now that Marquez was deliberately baiting Rossi to do something and seeing as Rossi's brain is dictated to by the illiterate Uccio he did it. (look at Uccio clapping in the team pits)
I also wonder that if say they hadn't had that on track war and Rossi had caught Lorenzo, would he have done the same? For one thing all Rossi had to do was come in in 4th place then attempt to be on the 1st 2 rows at Valencia, where given that he would still be in front of Lorenzo, all he had to do was take him out at the 1st bend (ie do a Schumacher/Prost/Senna). But then I somehow don't think he's the brain to process that.

What is really amusing, and evidence for your complete unfamiliarity with the concept of irony, is the post where you felt the need to inform us that you were trolling.

Yes, Marquez put no hard moves on any contender at either PI 2015 or at Valencia 2015, but undoubtedly did put hard but legal moves on a contender at Sepang 2015. Perhaps he just randomly varies how hard he races.

I've always thought Rossi took Marq out on purpose in that Argentina race. Knew his front tire was there, flipped his bike over to take him out. And I have no problem with it. Marquez rammed him on purpose.

They were playing a very rough game that day and Valentino knew a few more tricks.

And at Assen, Rossi knew Marquez would go inside and was waiting for the slightest bump so he could run straight across. ........ move but whatya going to do.

Marquez was stupid anyway, Rossi had caught him up by 4 seconds and made a fairly easy pass on him, not accepting that he /his bike had limitations in early season 2015 is why he eventually put himself out of the running to have 5 rather than 4 premier class titles now.

That incident at Assen was ........, he just blatantly cut the corner.

Marquez, who had the inside line, ran off the track too - so Rossi sitting on his outside really had no choice.

It's a risky move to cut the track at that speed.

I agree and thought so at the time.

All you can accuse Rossi of doing in that instance is being smart enough to anticipate the contact. I don't think MM could ever have stayed on the track given his speed and trajectory, other than perhaps by using Rossi as a berm cf last corner Jerez 2006 (EDIT 05 of course) or 2013.

Yeah.

Rossi started this whole 'using another rider as a berm' rubbish. He should've been demoted to second at Jerez 05, and be forced to start last at the next race. He had no hope of making the corner at Jerez.

The same goes for MM on JL at Jerez 13.

People think Marc has matured and isn't as killer as his early years, but he will still do anything to win. It's just that he hasn't been in the position that requires desperate moves very often lately.

But twice this year his last corner lunge on Dovi was ruthless without concern for Dovi or himself. I'm sure he loses some respect among fellow riders for that ...., except they mostly think 'that guy is hard to beat', rather than thoughts of 'he is no gentleman'.

When Rossi dumped Marc in Argentina the thing that bothered Marc most was that he lost, not that Rossi was a ........

All my opinion, of course.

He will still do anything to win? Like settle for 3rd when the bike isn't working well. Marc has absolutely matured from the attempted murderer of his early years. How can you say he hasn't been put in a position to make a desperate move? He has an opportunity every time he races. What I see is a rider that knows when he can and cannot ride the bike in such a way to make passes that others cannot. When is the last time he knocked another rider down? He passes in such a way that his trajectory rarely makes contact. When he blows a corners even making a passes he rarely messes up other riders. It don;t think I can explain what I mean anymore than that. Its in bedded into his style.

In the context of the Argentina and especially the Assen video's, there are the two similar times this season where Marc was in second and wanted first. That was Austria and Japan. Both times he pulled a kamakazi move on Dovi. He drove right in front of him!!

He has learned not to bin it when his bike won't do better than third, that's not the same thing.

But when his blood gets boiling and he wants the win you don't want to be anywhere around him.

I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. It's dangerous and I can't cheer for it but Dorna has to be the one to say "This is not what we want racing to be, in our series" and I don't think they have the balls to say it. Partly because they want anything that brings excitement and publicity (and money) and partly because they don't have the balls to enforce it against Rossi.

Do you feel the same about Zarco? He makes questionably aggressive passes. Only dude I've seen pass in Marcs style on the regular.

I'm not sure. I haven't watched enough races with him in it.

I don't get to watch them all.

From what I've seen it doesn't seem so.

Don't get me wrong, I'm always rooting for Marc. Just trying to call a spade a spade, as I see it. :)
