STONER

For the record, in two years Casey will be returning to Ducati and Rossi will be retiring...

You heard it here first.

We have heard this before as well mate

Yes, I can see you are clearly unbiased. So tell me, would saying in Italian, "Ducati owe me." Would have that made you upset too? After-all, its would be equally arrogant, would it not?

I'm not sure what you are so upset about except that you clearly dislike Stoner. You have as much evidence of Stoner's illness calling it a "tummy ache" as Rossi's supposed shoulder injury. Are you prepared to call his shoulder a mere "muscle ache"?

Let me ask you this, do you consider Rossi's repeated ultimatums to Yamaha as arrogant too? Because I don’t remember you making a thread entitled “Rossi, demanding Yamaha chose him over Lorenzo, how arrogant!”

I don't dislike Stoner, I simply think one should give respect where respect is due. He seems very confident (which is good), but at the same time cocky, at least so it seems from a spectators point of view.

As for Rossi's shoulder injury, who knows what it is, maybe you are right its just a muscle ache, we will never know. But he is racing and putting on a show nonetheless, and yes he complains about it. I am sure if you raced a moto gp bike with a muscle ache...you too might complain. In any case if he decides to have the operation to his shoulder, it would no longer be a muslce ache...would it?

It was a .... season that ....... Rossi strikes again. BM/J

Ducati gave Casey a championship? I'm confused. You infer in your post that the bike was capable of winning absent Casey, perhaps any rider would have won on that machine in 07? Your post seems to disregard the role played by the rider instead inferring that the bike is the larger piece of the championship puzzle. Am I understanding you wrong?

It's my belief that Casey gave Ducati equally what was given him. It was a good relationship for both. Now it's time for something different. Ducati have given to Casey what he gave them.....Neither are indebted to one another.....

You heard it here first.

i said ducati gave him a factory ride and without them he would not have won a championship. i said this because i believe casey would have been without a ride in 07 had ducati not signed him

Try reading what i wrote !

Surely he would've stayed with LCR Honda? I mean, Casey still has a good relationship with Lucio to this day.

Definitely would have kept Casey if he could. When interviewed after Stoners first win at Qatar in 07 he said although he was very happy for Stoner, he would have loved his first win to be with his team.

imo rider's and teams have contracts and they dont owe anything to eachother at all. they both have bettered their situation.

as soon as the contarct is over, theyr rivals again.

Maybe but even if that were the case i doubt he would have become champion on the LCR. I do seem to remember i read or heard on tv back then that he was not on good terms with lucio and was at risk of being ride'less. Maybe my memory is slightly distorted over these few years but my point still stands.

Ah, what’s the matter little buddy? Did I rain on the parade? Hahaha Believe me, reading through your posts is quite the task, as they always sound like a 4th grader wrote it, but the meaning comes across fairly easily: Rossi good, everything else bad. Perhaps you’ve heard of the great English saying: "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." (Feel free to look up the meaning, I suppose judging from your posts you have little acquaintance with Shakespeare’s Hamlet, BTW, its Act 3). You etal are the “ladies” here. I suppose you would have been more content just leaving this thread unchecked as a Stoner bashing fest your type enjoys. I’m sorry I poo pooed on your fetish. Hahaha.

All this fake "controversy" over an interview in which some ....... Italian journo - with a middling

understanding of English - has twisted the meaning of Stoner's reply - in order to create a

sensational headline. All ....... newspapers do this to sell more editions. Even the New York Times.

Spanish and Italian sports journalists are famous for their exaggerations and their venomous attitude

towards anything or anyone that might be perceived as anti-anything Italian. Remember how viciously

the Italian press attacked Rossi when he was a tax exile living outside Italy? Like Pov - I totally discount

this crap - unless there's a Youtube link showing Stoner actually making the statement himself.

Ah, I see. In that case I apologize. I'm not sure what gave me the impression you dislike Stoner. I totally misread your post. I mean, stupid me, calling him a "prick" and saying he needs "PR lessons", not to mention calling him a "whiner" and characterizing his illness as a mere "tummy ache", in addition to saying he needs a "psychologist" because hes a "dingleberry", ah I now see the error of my ways. It seem I was wrong thinking you might dislike the guy and only sought to bash him. Seeing that you were joined by the usual participants in the fun pass time, it seems they mistook your post too, eh.

This guy is a prick. Take some PR lessons or something...

Ducati picked him up when he was crashing all the time out of almost every race. Livio took a huge gamble and it worked out for the both of them. Ducati has thanked him and continues to do so even at the Milan Eicma show, and rightfully so...but Casey, he just keeps demonstrating his ignorance.

He is casey whiner....rolling stoner....all of these and more. And he either wins or crashes...or sorry, has a tummy ache.

Good luck to Hoda next year, they need to invest heavily in fairings and should also think about a team of psychologists for this incoming dingleberry...

Yeah the problem is all you. You just aren't capable of recognizing good-natured joshing when you hear it.

yes indeede, this thread proves again that jum is a much bigger ...... than Casey.
<

and indeed we had threads about Rossi asking Yamaha to choose between them, i,m sure of this since i myself criticised Rossi for that, and Jumkie at that time said: Finally a Rossi fan who criticised him,...., and that i,m different with you and other boper's, but a few weeks later, he lost his hopes on me too.
<

anyway, rider's say a lot things, sometimes bs too, but Stoner doesn't owe them anything.

So you want impossible proof? we all know dorna pull all motogp youtubes the second they surface. I too would like to hear the full interview to make sure of the comments context. You have to admit though, Casey has as much form for verbal gaff's as prince Phillip
<

Does anyone believe that Ducati hired Casey Stoner b/c they were trying to be charitable?

Obviously, Casey doesn't owe them anything even if his remark is not politically correct. Ducati hired him to do a job. He did his job, and now he is leaving to go ride for Honda. Yes, Casey would have been much better off to take a conciliatory approach, but he's probably still pissed off that so many people wanted him removed from the team when he was battling illness last year.

That's it -- Casey has some resentment over Ducati's attempt to hire Lorenzo, throwing more money at Jorge than he had ever seen. That's what is behind the sour words. The boy's manners are kind of primitive, we know that.
<

No big deal.

Stoner is a prick. We all know that. He probably over thought the question. No he doesnt owe them anything. But he could pay them a little gratitude for being one of two factory riders. Every rider on that grid owes his team gratitude for taking a chance on them.

So the only thing this thread has taught me is that youtube and google translation are reliable sources of information. To quote BarryMac "
