Just saw Stoners comment on Italia 1 that pissed me off tremendously...

Stoner's statement to Italia 1:

“Non devo niente alla Ducati, non possono proprio lamentarsi di ciò che ho fatto per loro in questi quattro anni”.

in english

"I owe nothing to Ducati, they cannot lament what I have done for them during these four years".

This guy is a prick. Take some PR lessons or something...

Ducati picked him up when he was crashing all the time out of almost every race. Livio took a huge gamble and it worked out for the both of them. Ducati has thanked him and continues to do so even at the Milan Eicma show, and rightfully so...but Casey, he just keeps demonstrating his ignorance.

He is casey whiner....rolling stoner....all of these and more. And he either wins or crashes...or sorry, has a tummy ache.

Good luck to Hoda next year, they need to invest heavily in fairings and should also think about a team of psychologists for this incoming dingleberry...

He's a Cobber simple

as good as Aussie cricket these days. pressure pressure pressure

Was he asked a question about owing Ducati something? Or was this just out of the blue? If he did just offer this comment for no reason i'd say its a fairly poor PR decision. He is absolutely right though

Its from the Italian press, i think i will wait for a little more info. It wasnt that long ago that the same clowns either purposely misquoted, or didnt quite understand a statement that Hayden had made. I would say the former, they are famous for that kind of .........

If he said this then it is disappointing he feels this way. Ducati gave him a factory ride after his crash happy 06 season. I doubt many other's would have given a young rider who continually crashed and bad mouthed his team a chance on a factory bike.

Without Ducati he would not have won a championship, he would have been lucky to stay in the series. Im wondering if this comment has been taken out of context?

Oh, you regually read the italian press do you pov?

I'm going to wait, it does seem that at times the Italian press have taken things out of context.

Does anyone believe that Ducati hired Casey Stoner b/c they were trying to be charitable?

Obviously, Casey doesn't owe them anything even if his remark is not politically correct. Ducati hired him to do a job. He did his job, and now he is leaving to go ride for Honda. Yes, Casey would have been much better off to take a conciliatory approach, but he's probably still pissed off that so many people wanted him removed from the team when he was battling illness last year.

I don't read them but I do know they have a reputation, much like MCN.

I don't think Casey would throw Ducati under the bus like this, just personal opinion.

I am trying to track down the video of the interview...it was done on Italia 1, and I being fluent in both languages can say nothing was taken out of context..

I must say however that like Ducati owes Casey for what he did, Casey owes to Ducati for what they did, otherwise who knows where he would have ended up. At least that is what I think...we all know that in this world you need to be wise and know the 101's of PR... Of course there can be exceptions of complete ..... that do their thing and do not care about what the public may think, but their road is surely much shorter...

Yes, I can see you are clearly unbiased. So tell me, would saying in Italian, "Ducati owe me." Would have that made you upset too? After-all, its would be equally arrogant, would it not?

I'm not sure what you are so upset about except that you clearly dislike Stoner. You have as much evidence of Stoner's illness calling it a "tummy ache" as Rossi's supposed shoulder injury. Are you prepared to call his shoulder a mere "muscle ache"?

Let me ask you this, do you consider Rossi's repeated ultimatums to Yamaha as arrogant too? Because I don’t remember you making a thread entitled “Rossi, demanding Yamaha chose him over Lorenzo, how arrogant!”

Oh, you regually read the italian press do you pov?

Dont you? I also read the British Press and saw where of all people, you guys are going to trust the French to have your back in military matters. All i can say to that is good luck.

Thats like Chuck Norris hiring Perez Hilton to be his bodyguard.

and i've heard he doesnt even wash his hands after taking a dump on the first testretta prototype and that his father is in fact the t-1000 that wants to kill john connor!

is this even a topic or just another stoner bashing fest?

all road racers say some stupid .... ,thankfully as opposed to f1

even if he sincerley meant he didn't give .... about ducati i wouldn't consider him to be arrogant,he brought them success and didn't get the big paychecks in the process and now leaves his bike to rossi

tell you what,i'd be even more pissed off

and as jumkie said, rossis repeated threats are way more arrogant than this could ever be

Reading the british press is not surprising as it's in the same language. You made a bold remark regarding the italian press which i would think would be written in italian. i think im safe in assuming you don't speak italian so im wondering what made you qualified to make the statement you did? My bet it's just another ignorant povol generalization and stereotype that we have all become accustomed to in your posts

Why drag Rossi or any other rider into a discussion about Stoner and his comment/statement about Ducati?? If Stoner said this...then it was a .... move IMO. Last I checked, now that Rossi has broken ties with Yamaha....he never told them to stick it up their ..., even when there was a chance that Yamaha would deny him to test the Ducati right after Valencia.

You love bringing Rossi to the table of any discussion don't you? If kids are caught joyriding and punished....do you jump in quickly with "Well Rossi used to do that same thing and race his Ape with his friends, yet he got a free pass"??

Because this is very much spawned by a familiar syndrome that all things Stoner must be ...., guess what type of fan I'm talking about? Its interesting that YOU are coming to a defense here. uhm... Its the double standard of this particular fan, like I said where are the threads started by Factory or peeps like Ptk50 saying Rossi was a ...... for saying pretty much the same thing?

Honestly, whatever you say is colored with the ABSURD notion that you have now tried to sow the seed about what caused Rossi's crash, was A TIRE MALFUNCTION! Leave it to YOU etal to absolve Rossi from any responsibility. Of course when Stoner crashes, well he's a .... rider, right? You even said you compared it to the chip computer glitch that was the cause of Pedro's open throttle to be stuck open. When I read somebody make such a leap in reality, I cannot help but categorize everything you say there after as complete fantasy.

Incase you guys are wondering what I'm talking about, here is Factory's take on what caused Rossi's crash. According to him it was equipment malfunction!

how can you give Pedrosa a pass with equipment failure leading to lost points due to injury....but you can't give Rossi the same pass with a spec tire that could not hold heat causing lost points due to injury.

Also a few riders complained about the tires this season about the heat issue so it was not a one time thing with Rossi's crash.

FACTORY' date='03 November 2010 - 11:47 AM' timestamp='1288810028' post='258109 said:
My main point was the tire is part of the equipment that a rider uses to make the bike work......and that equipment can fail to work as designed without the rider making an error just like Pedrosa's RBW issue.

That is interesting as I didn't know Stoner spoke Italian. For that reason I call BS on your post Motix as I highly doubt that a Stoner comment in English translated to Italian and then back to English is even slightly representative of what was said. But then your post seems to clearly indicate that you have heard him say it and it was in Italian. "........" said under a cough!

It also flies in the face of the interview on Davids website which from my experience is 100% Stoner and his style of interview.
