Probably not, but the potential to run off a string of wins was there. Like i asked the other day. will Stoner now try and help Dani win a title. If there is one guy who can take points from Lorenzo its him. Of course Dani will have to play his part, but with his jackrabbit starts and almost always leading into turn one, Stoner can put himself between he and Lorenzo. Or will he be all about Stoner and go for padding his career stats.

Yeah, I can't see Casey Stoner wanting to serve as a tool. If he ever comes back from the injury he will likely want to do what he did in 2009 when he came back from his "illness" with no pressure for the championship and give a good show, winning as much he could.

Dani will have to beat Lorenzo on his own. With JL being 18 points ahead it will be difficult unless Jorge has a bad race.

And a bad race for Lorenzo this year would be 3rd LOL. But, all it would take is 2 of those, and 2 Dani wins and they are even. Stranger things have happened.

Read where Ducati wouldn't replace Nick because of time constraints etc, so with Casey having to opt out, I'm sure there is no way Honda could get a replacement...who knows, if they did, it would most likely be a Honda test rider.

Casey checked into the Mater Private Hospital in Crows Nest in North Sydney this morning.

Not sure yet which of the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre's doctors is doing the surgery but they are the best in the country.

I think it would be cool if Casey ended his career with the same amount of wins as Hailwood...at this stage that is a very real possibility as this injury may make it hard for him to get back to racing even by the time Phillip Island comes around...if he is fit and there is a possibility to win at home in front of his home crowd I will reckon he will go for it....but if the title is to be decided at Valencia he may try to help out his team mate.
