*SPOILERS*Motogp Jerez FreePractice and Quali discussion *SPOILERS*

Not going to be a good weekend for bridgestone. Rossi may get third - that's about all i'm prdeicting. Stoner was SO pissed off. Tried kicking Loris after something happened on his last qualifier. Sixth at best for him methinks.
Marco looks like he wants to kill someone.
Lorenzo is gonna be so hard to beat - the only one capable this weekend is Pedrosa. Looks like the Spanish fans are going to be happy.

Are you really even a stoner/ducati fan or just a complete .....? Why is this good? Looks like ducati have big problems and are going backwards in general. I will be happy if casey gets out of the week-end intact. I am somewhat encouraged by his qualifying time as edwards and de puniet tend to go backwards in the race; he must have carried the bike on his back for his fast laps.

Lorenzo definatly the big favorite for tomorrow. His race pace were far better than anyone. As for second I'm not so sure. Pedrosa may look a bit better than Rossi but if Rossi can figure out the last section for the warmup he can easily gain 3 tenths. Edwars, Capirossi and Hayden are possible outsiders but I suspect thats where they stay, outside. Stoner is off the pace and only a miracle can save his day.

Look like most of the bridgestone riders strugle with the last section, but I'm unsure if it's the highspees double lefthander or the first gear last turn that cause them problems.

True. Will he be able to withstand the pressure, which this year is going to be enormous on him?
Just one year at the top, and already there seems to be someone even younger and faster... Meanwhile the likes of Pedrosa and Rossi are still very much there. Not an easy title defense, imo.

As Migs stated, Hayden has had his magic steering head bolt stolen. Pedrosa is suddenly quicker.

If what the Eurosport people say is true it makes me very happy. I don't think Nicky was slow on the 2008, the hot lap sessions during the off season proved that, but I'm quite pleased to hear Dani has been given a portion of the testing load and he is making improvements to the bike.

The bike is continuing to get better--that's the best news a Hayden fan can hear.

Faster at jerez in practice. So were 4 riders in the race in 2007. I wouldn't make too many deductions about the season from the results of jerez let alone the practice, just as I wouldn't from the results at qatar. Lorenzo is very impressive though, and ducati's performance in general is concerning; I suspect it is actually a fairly ill-handling bike.

Just going over the FP2,FP3 and QP times.
Lorenzo is flying and very consistent.

I don't think Rossi has anything for either Lorenzo or Pedrosa as Rossi only managed a couple (literally) 1:40's laps while Lorenzo ran off a string of 6 to 8 laps in the mid 1:40's

The only other rider that was close is Pedora.
We may indeed see an all Spanish duel.

Bring it on.

Someone ought to have a word in his shell, like. I'm sure his talent is beyond doubt but he makes Carl Fogarty look gracious when things don't go his way. Seems the rumours might be true.

It is good and bad for Nicky...if Nicky beats DaniBot then the hobbit will through a fit and Nicky will get shafted on parts over the next few races...IMO

Lorenzo is the real thing, and he is going to make Pedrosa life hell!

What rumors?

Its still too early to be apologizing to Michelin for Rossi. If you recall how the last season shaped up Bridgestone didn't do to well here at Jerez. I think that Rossi is pretty happy with his decision still. Hohay is amazing, what an incredible lap. Of course he could have thrown out a bunch of those laps BUT he was too stiff early in qualifying

I think that CE will have a good season this year. He has shown great pace and when they get the upgraded engine, it will really be interesting to see what he can do. Anybody have a picture or video of his save, sounds pretty awesome.
My boy Hayden, is it just another good qualifying with crappy race pace? Don't let me down again.

Stoner, do you really think that he is in as much trouble as he leads on. Still look for a similar finish as last year I think. I heard he through out a kick to Capi, WTF?? Look at my avatar

Seems to be a trend with this guy, lol.

Dovi the dark horse will be there. I think even competing for the podium.

The rest is the rest. Oh maybe a showing by Capi, nawwwww talk about burnt out. He takes the reins from CE as a rider of the past.

Maybe he's relieved, since it cannot even be said that he rides exactly the same bike as Lorenzo's...

Just kidding.

All three excellent points. Stoner placed a top five last year at Jerez, and this was enough to seal the deal 3 rounds before the end of season. I think he may be pissed because he want to win every round, period.

Hayden the Heartbreak Kid.

Birdgestone is fine. They won at Qatar, and they will continue to win.

Top speed honours...GSVR!!! Right-on! Tomorrow the start is going to be all important. Expect fireworks.

Maybe, maybe not.
JT made an interesting statement about the Michelin tyres in the Yamaha press release (my bolding):
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>We have a good direction for the race set-up tomorrow but the tyres will be critical.
We are just trying to pick the best one for the endurance because the temperature is a lot higher than when we tested here. It is unusually high for this time of year and I think we could do with something a bit stronger. But everybody is in the same boat.
