Yeah it will happen when the Repsol bosses go to Nicky's pit box to wish him luck. Soon after their departure, Benson will starting screaming that the spanners have gone missing.

Nicky in the top 5 in FP1 and FP2? When was the last time that happened? How are Honda going to improve if they don't ruin Hayden's career by forcing him to test during FP1 and FP2?

Duc999, Michelin swept this track last year.

Rossi says the balance of his M1 has been radically changed for Jerez, to the point that he has to modify his riding style to suit it:

“It must be ridden more aggressively now, more force is needed than with my old settings, but we have gained in stability and braking has improved”.

He added he's already faster than in Qatar, but the optimal setting has not yet been found. He still has some chattering at the front.

Yeah. Ask Jake Zemke about that

. Still it's making Rossi look like a .... for swapping tyres lol
<

I don't think it's as simple as that. As I've said before, remember what Edwards said during the off season about the type of tyre Rossi wanted being unrideable for Edwards and the other Michelin users. If this is the case, then just because Lorenzo can go well on the Yamaha with the current Michelin tyres, it does not mean that those tyres would have suited Rossi's riding style. Last year, and to some extent in 2006, when Michelin tyres had a "shredding" issue, Rossi's tended to be worse than most.

Don't worry. just wait till the other tracks where Rossi is even better at. Remember, Quatar and Jerez are 2 of Lorenzo's best tracks. Trust me Rossi will start pulling away from Lorenzo starting on Esteril. I'm glad that lorenzo is very fast too. cause no we have Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner, Rossi, Dovi, Edwards and Toseland. I think they're all gonna be fast on most tracks. OOps and Hayden. He will be getting faster as the season goes on.

Lorenzo has a lot of "best tracks" if you look at how many races he won in the last two years and Jerez is also a favorite of Rossi. I think we will see the true pattern when we get to tracks where there hasn't been testing.

there r really only 4 contenders for the title

Stoner, Horhey, Rossi and Pedrosa

thats prob the order they will finish.

i predict 240 points will win it this season, 2nd to 4th will be from 220 to 200 points.

Just an FYI....Eurosport yesterday was saying that Nicky is riding the 08 Pedrosa Chassis....which is the chassis Nicky developed over the winter plus the 10 or so laps Dani did on it at the Qatar Test...apparently Pedrosa's input had greatly improved upon Nicky 08 version....so much that even Nicky can ride very fast on it....at least according to Eurosport talking heads...
Eitherway, it still houses the 07 valve spring engine...

End of session and Dani is on top....Spaniard in Spain....and yes there may be a view missing spanners in Hayden garage....

I was watching free practice 2 Before i went out last night and I thought stoners bike was all over the show. I think he will be lucky if he gets top 6, I think maybe he will depart from his Ducati during the race. Raging bull that thing.

He said that the rear end was very loose after they fixed a front end problem after the morning session. He was a bit worried about setup.

JT seems to still be feeling the affects of Bronchitis. Here's hoping he can get better for Sunday, and those mich quali's will push him further up.

Good going by Dani, it's a bit ominous to have him topping a sheet.

Half a second between the top 10 - qualifying should be pretty exciting. My money's on Jorge or Dani for pole. Outside chance for Nicky!

here we go.....
