Brilliant race two again from j t. Anybody confirm if the slower pace of race 2 was down to heat or rider choice to preserve tyres? Going on a step from that, could it have all been j t's master plan to slow it down and kill the competition in the last couple of laps like he did
<
woo
Whatever, was a great ride and was some great racing at p i- especially the various moves going round the outside
<

Gutting for Kallio being (imo) taken out on lap 1 of the supers. Sofu looking good again

I think JT was slowing it up to preserve tyres. Look at how he and Bayliss ditched the Yamahas so easily in the last 5 laps, and they set their quickest race laps at the very end, well played Toseland. But i would like to see him winning a race 1 at some point.

Did anybody else notice Bayliss had a comedy suntan with white sunglass shaped marks on his face?

You'll get your revenge when gayliss gets himself a double at Valencia later in the season. But for now i'm going to bask in the glory of Bayliss being out done yet again my our man JT.

Dis anyone else stay up till 4am expecting to see
Race 2 live only to get to see f'king Nordic Skiing ?

Thanks Eurosport

The world superbike website told me that race 2 didnt start till 4:30 am our time, so i figured the they wouldn't be showing it till later on. Then i watched it on eurosport 2 when i woke up, but they cut out the post race interviews so i had to watch it again at lunch time

i saw that there was a 'WSB' program starting @ 3:00am and kind of assumed.........

i saw it twice on Sunday afternoon anyway (good old Eurosport) so I could have had an early night
<

bummer

Yes my dad made the same assumption when he set his VCR, but fortunately eurosport saved us again. And even if we hadn't managed that its only a weeks wait before the races are shown motors tv, although with inferior commentry.

I doubt he'll take a double there...maybe a race 1, then JT nicks it in race 2.
<

That Honda will be a beast on the little spanish go-kart track. And maybe the straight line speed wont be such an advantage. Then there is Bayliss' form to consider. On the other had, JT's race form is pretty good at the moment. I'll predict Valencia after Donington.

the second race is quite often on eurosport 2 - which is an arse if you are taping it. i missed the second one too, the best one as well
<

I didn't stay up but put the VCR on after the supersport race, only to tape a resending of race 1. Eurosport sending schedule has been a complete .... up for as long as I can remember. Usually their Web is right but the interface sucks big time and the info on the satelite sending is more often than not wrong.
Today I got home early and saw most of race two. Grate race :)

Watched race 1.......pretty dull really, shame Toseland didnt have the pace/tires to really take it to Bayliss on the last laps
<

I guess race two was better, will try and catch a repeat sometime

I agree with Burky on the Ten Kate colors. The bikes look amateur. I mean, who had the bright idea of contrasting white and neon yellow?

Bayliss was scaring me on the entry to turn one. His bike was wobbling every time he crested the hill! Awesome stuff!:)

Ok, its Wednesday and I just got to see the race last night. So if it was covered already on this thread because you live in some country that shows races at the point, go to hell. (Sorry to take it out on you guys but we got Speed-less Channel on a three day delay, yes, that's no ........!)

What a great set of races. Man I love WSBK. Bayliss out foxed Toesland in race 1 then Toesland out foxed Bayliss in race 2. Bayliss should be slapping himself for relinquishing the lead and letting the world know it by raising his hand. I’m sure it may have seemed like a good idea at the moment, but it turned out to be his demise. The Yamahas only kept up because the front-runners slowed down the pace. But it was fun seeing 5-glued together for a few laps. Biaggi once again has a great start then gets gobbled up on the first lap. What’s up with that? He is smooth and consistent and made it up but then it seemed he lost his juice once he settled behind Bayliss. For a few laps I thought he would pass Bayliss but WTF? Anyway, nice run out of him, but he need to get more aggressive. Oh, what a great human being during the race interview.

Bayliss and Toesland ratcheted up the race on the final moments and Bayliss’ miscalculation coupled with Toesland’s unwillingness to back down proved to be a great last lap.

Is it me or is Toesland’s bike look like its just came out of the body shop all primered and ready for paint? ......., what a ...... design. I’m thinking nobody is looking to buy a replica of that bike. Hanspreed must be delighted that their bike looks like a bird .... stain.

What’s up with the MV? Can we get a shot of that bike please. Just the fact that it is an MV should warrant a few close-ups by the camera guy. Can we get a close-up please? Oh, BTW, lets get at least one point too. The guy is probably rolling thinking he better not put that bike in the gravel pit being that it may bankrupt the team.

Well it looks like the season has gonna be a cracka between the top five guys in race 2. What say you? Toesland has been great, but I’m not ready to hand him the championship just yet. I think it will be a fight between Toes, Bayliss, and Biaggi. Corser’s tires won’t last and Nori seems so exciting challenging for third that he likes it there. I expected a better showing by Lanzi.

Why is Xaus a grid filler? Hey, can anybody tell me why Corser is running the 11?

Yes, I've been wondering about that. Why does it say "spolier" I'm assuming you meant as "Spoiler"? Either way I'm confused. What does it mean? The colloquial use of the word “spoiler” in the US means to “ruin something” or to “blemish & destroy something” so I don’t really get why it says “spoiler” on the thread title. Please explain.

Corser has always run the 11, and he gets first dibs on it because he finished higher in the championship last year.

"spoiler" just stops those who are yet to see the race from reading other comments about it.

there's nothing worse than when you've been waiting to see highlights or something and then some ....... tells you who wins before you get the chance.

AAAHhhh, now I get it. In other words, "don't spoil the results". Well I'm grateful somebody thought of this. Especially for us living in the US where are coverage sucks. Thanks for the explanation Locks.
