I have decided to brew some coffee and stay up for this race 1. Race 2 is optional. Pretty excited now, but i just read the morning warmup times and bayliss was a second quicker than corser in second. Bayliss was like 2.7 seconds slow. I have doutb creeping in

Ahem!

i've said it before and ill say it again....

BAYYYYYYYYLIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
<

and brookesy came in 12th
<

aussies doing well!

Toseland at the southern loop on turn one was good! But really, an excellent race from Bayliss, i liked the way he tricked JT into covering the outside at Honda to free up the inside line. I think if JT has an ongoing weakness this year it'll be tire munching. But what is yamahas problem, they are screwed if they can't make tires last.

<

apparently the yamaha have some issues with the rear tyre.... something about the tyre rotating on the wheel because of the vibrations of the bike?

suck ...., thats what you get for kicking pitty out of development.
<

Are you now expecting a Bayliss double? I am half expecting Biaggi to make a better effort next time out, but he needs to go 10 seconds better than race 1. Ultimately i am routing for JT, we all know that if he can get onto the final straight in Troys slip stream he can take the win.

i'd love a bayliss double! ...

dunno if biaggi's suzuki has the pace here this w/e .... it seemed to be struggling just a little.... he was just lucky Corser dropped off the pace.

toseland ... i don't know if he can take the win in race two, slipstream or no slipstream.... the ducati is definatley down on power on the straights but bayliss could ride this track with his eyes closed. Bayliss had it all set out and had perfect execution in the dying laps, im sure he can do it again.

I kinda feel a repeat of the race 1 podium coming on to be honest. Bayliss certainly had the edge that time. What about the temperature? Apparently it suits the Ducati less if it gets hot.

nah it shouldn't get much hotter there now i dont think.... theres a cool southerly on its way which will keep the temperatures down.
and none of those stupid northern winds like yesterday either.

i'll settle for a repeat podium... but of course i'd prefer JT further back though...

Race two ...
1 Toseland
2 Bayliss
3 Haga
4 Biaggi
5 Corser

jeez! ... some brilliant racing it those last few laps.
<
Good work by Corser to make up for the ground he lost when he ran off the ripple strip.

and Biaggi!
<

if the rest of the season is gonna be like this i might watch a few more rounds than i normally do!

Tremendous ride from JT in race 2, he'll be super confident after beating the Aussie boys on home turf. Totally in control throughout, congratulations James.
I really should do a painting..........but the bike colour scheme is so horrible I'm not sure if I can without vomitting!

I'm not gonna bother teasing you, because that ride says it all really. JT is the man.

I'm not going ot post how happy I am.

JT has proved all the doubters wrong, he beat one of the best WSBK riders ever at his home track.

And he has a nice lead in the championship too...roll on Donny.

2007: TB vs JT? Looking likely as far as the championship is concerned.. I know its early days, but judging by this weekend well, the words 'league of their own' come to mind..

Should be thrilling, and congrats to both riders on an enthrawling display over both races.. And no, I wont be telling anyone to 'suck ... biaaaatch!!' as im not an inbred ........
<

Peace..

It does look like those two will be sharing most of the gold trophies, and i am excited about such hard riders are going head to head for the title.

Fantastic ride from JT, if any one ride proves he can cut it, that was it.

I think the championship will be between Bayliss, Biaggi and Toseland. Although Biaggi is still struggling in the first few laps.

Anyone else off to Donny?

Perhaps. It depends on money and how effortless it will be to get there. But i worry that Bayliss will do some more winning at Donny, he rode the british superbikes more competatively than toseland did.

Well done to JT! Haven't seen the races yet as i've been out quad biking a lot of today so i'll hopefully watch them later tonight.

Another good weekend for Toseland. Now he just needs to sort out his settings for the first race so his tyres last longer.
