Just saw supersport, HOLY ....!

Spoiler below....

Ok, man, I'm glad we have some racing to talk about...finally. Where the hell did Scassa come from? He was on the tail end of that group for most of the race. Infact they make very little mention of him then bam, hits the front. That dude raced in the AMA on a project with MV Augusta. Last year he was with (can't remember) but it was ..... What a difference a competitive ride makes. Good for him. He reminds me of that Italian dude who rode for GP Ducati (can't remember his name right now). Anyway, I do remember reading about him a long time ago in some Italian article how he was an up and coming youngster. Well he's made good.

Agree, one of the best finishes I've ever seen. The Kawi's looked good, wonder if they will stay up front all season?

All of the bikes are being slowed so you might as well get comfortable with it. Furthermore, the Ducati already has an air restrictor equipped, and that's what L8 was referring to. There is a performance indexing formula in the rulebook that allows the SBK commission to adjust the size of Ducati's air restrictor based upon how many races they win and their average finishing position.

When is this supposed to take place, before or after Checa destroyed the track record at Phillip Island on a satellite bike.

The announcers hinted that Checa's bike might have a little factory developement in it although they couldn't say what it was. Maybe when Rossi was testing out his shoulder he tweaked the Ducati a bit. They also said that Checa turned off the traction control

the ss race was off the hook!! what was up with all the flat tires? 1 ruined davies race!

I think they will, its great to have a battle between different bikes in the class after so much Honda domination. Especially when the British interest is spread over 2 of them. Why no Suzuki though? I know they don't put much money into racing but the ss teams aren't officially supported anyway, and i thought i'd heard the GSXR600 was meant to be pretty decent.

Yes the rumour is that the bike is pretty much factory and the Althea team have been trusted to run it with their infrastructure after the existing one was amost entirely lost to BMW. Have a look at this

Ah yes, forgot to mention. Is SS the only class Kawakers excel at? Geez. RL should have asked to ride the SS Kwaker while in WSBK.

BABELFISH, where are you?

WSBK is not looking so good..... I mean Carlos Checa?? !!! Carlos Checa?!!! This guy has accomplished shiit all in his professional motorcycle career, an old washed out never has been at that..... and he gets a double win? Not just winning, but convincingly too. He's what? 37 years old? And Biaggi 38 years old?

Btw Johnathon Rea needs to quit hyping himself up with PR already talking like he's MotoGP material when he's done shiit in his career..... he's never even been a champion in his career even in the lower ranks. The guy is somewhat quick but makes soo many mental mistakes.... he needs to prove himself in WSBK first before acting like he's the next MotoGP champion.

at last! some racing

my take on it all...

1. checa and the althea "xerox" ducati.

probably the most sorted the 2010 factory ducati that has ever ridden at PI. pity that almost all of the circuits left in the calender will not favour the duke as much. Checa may feature at the front again at miller but thats pretty much the highlight of the ducatis season.. expect a slow decline as the other bikes get more development and the ducati doesn't..

2. Melandri had a good showing. considering the surgeries and shoulder issues not to mention a new series let alone a new team/bike etc i think he will do a good but not championship winning job this season. hopefully he will be a real contender next season.

3. BMW. Haslam has had a number of seasons on top level factory machines in WSB and BSB. no championships yet? he will be another mamola-esque rider with lots of heart and fans and no #1 plates to show for it. pity, because he works hard at it and is a good rider to watch.

4. Kwaka. new model, only one development rider fit, the other 2 both recovering from injury. give it time before consigning them to the "they still suck" category..

WSS... sweeeeet!!

now thats how it should be at PI. close all the way through. good rides by all the top 5-6 riders. more of all season long please!

p.s. jimmy whitham was a bit excessive with the "that was Lowes race". no, it wasnt, it was scassas, the official finish says so!
