Those are hard numbers to come by since the teams dont really ever give exact data to the public. For instance Honda says 220+ on the current 800.I dont think its that high but it could be.Numbers on the 990 swirled around 240-250 dpending on who you believed. The 990's at some tracks would reach 215mph but that was with gearing for that track as a whole so they would probably run 225-230 with proper top end gearing. The 800's seem to be 7-10 mph slower but have much higher corner speeds resulting in faster lap times.Slowed them down for safety right..The last numbers i saw on 250 Gp bikes were in the 100 to 105 Hp range with speeds in the 155-160 range.125's,i dont have a clue but would guess 50 to 60 hp with speeds around 120.

From a couple of guys I know who were involved with team QUB when McWlliams was in 250s, the top bikes were making 110-ish BHP with top speeds depending on gearing over 160mph. The QUB bike at that time was only making slightly over 100. I know for a fact that a certain British Championship race-winning 125 was making 68bhp 7 years ago so the gp bikes may be making slightly more but not that much. Again depending on gearing, a 125 can hit over 140mph.

the FIM rules are available free on their website in .pdf form.

it won't give you HP specifics, but it will give you all the technical rules manufacturers need to follow including engine type, dimensions, etc etc.

not sure if it has other info you need or if you only need the HP info, but maybe it will help.

as already mentioned, you're not going to get accurate HP as no teams or manus will reveal them and even if they do, the #s given to the public are not trustworthy.

You can look up all the results on the Motogp.com site. Click on results and navigate through to find race speeds, times, top speed for all the classes.
The Shanghai circuite has the highest top speed,IIRC. Just over 337km/h for Motogp bikes.

Those numbers the teams tell us are easy to find. Go to Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, they give you numbers, are they truthful? Probably not the exact number, but pretty close. To speeds are easy to find. Find the longest straight in MotoGP and look at the stats. They usually show the top mph of a lap. Average speeds are listed on the MotoGP site. With all results.

Drill, with ya on this.

...., if he wanted F1 data, I got that crap memorized. I'll tell you even about how Ferrari has traction control that they and Ducati secretly created.

Most common knowledge is bhp numbers on the bikes. All ou need to know is that Ducati has the power with Honda number two, then Yamaha, then Suzuki and Kawsaki. Top speed is huge. Ducati is a good 4-5 mph ahead of Honda with about 210. Then you have Suzuki which is about the same as Honda. Then you are down to Yamaha, which is all about handling than speed with them, then Kawasaki.

Numbers mean .... anyway. It is how they handle. You can have the fastest bike, but if your a ...... rider, it does you nothing. You could be Rossi on anybike and he'll get you wins. Bike racing is about 60% rider, 25% bike and 15% tires.
