Nice to see the chicane's gone, but why get rid of Bridge corner?

apparently the bridge was too close the track and couldnt be moved, so they are avoiding it

Assen - particularly old Assen was/is so special because of the way the corners build and the way it is so beautifully cambered. i agree, they ...... assen imo. chicanes don't belong on motorcycle tracks.

It's possible it's been tightened up some but as I recall that's been there for quite some time. It really does interrupt a very flowing race track.

not to mention damn right dangerous, my heat stopped when ce2 nearly tagged the wall in 07

rightly or wrongly i call parts of tracks like that where only one can go through at a slowish speed chicains. not un-similar to suzuka imo.
