Yamaha have officially said there will be no one man team, Edwards and Rossi will be teammates.

Suzuki is bad team to start, continue, or end, it sucks, it's a piece of junk, and it has been so for the last 25 years (Yeah TWENTY FIVE, even when Schwantz and Jr won it was crap). So I don't have any reason to believe they will have a good bike next year or in 2007.

Suzuki crap?After winning 2 titles+2 with Sheene ,You call them crap!!Sorry mate but that is complete BOLLOCKS,Teo,and damn disrespectful to the riders too.

If I recall correctly Sheene won his champs in 1976 and 1977 which is 28 years ago. I said 25. During the late 70's Suzuki did have a good bike.

I think it's a compliment to the riders that have managed to win a championship on that piece of junk.

Now Honda have denied Melandri and Hayden are going to be the development riders

http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2005/Oct/051021m.htm

Actually its quite a good article

Ya really have to wonder if Honda have a plan, if its not Marco and Nicky who the hell is it, Who else is gonna be those two teams or are they gonna have another set of full factory bikes for another team.

Honda seem to lack leadership sure seems like it this year, one muddle after another, perhaps they are tryong to look useless so in years to come they can say Rossi didn't beat us when we were at full strenght

I don't see where they are going with their development. I think the denying the statement that Melandri and Hayden will lead development is just to cover their ..... while Gibs and Biaggi are still around. If they really aren't going to give the developmental reigns to MM and Nicky then I have to believe: a. They really are going to play the not at full strength excuse against Rossi. or b. They are going to turn everything over to Pedrosa. No matter what happens, if HRC don't give Marco and Nicky the developmental duties they are making a huge mistake and the results will be the proof.

Is it possible that Pedrosa will run an 800cc development bike in the `06 season-IF the powers that be allow it to happen?

The rider is not the problem in tha team.

Unless they can bring some super-star rider to their team, the result should be more or less the same. Kenny did a good job, he's got more points (63) than Hopper (59) despite sitting out many races due to injuries.

I agree to an extent.

I definately agree that the rider isn't the big problem there, the bike is. It's just not competative enough, imo. hopper and kenny are both decent riders capable of top 5 or 8 rides consistantly on the right machinery, in my eyes.

That said, Kenny hasn;t really impressed me and Hopper is still so young with many years ahead of him, so it maes more sence in my eyes to let enny go then hopper.

although qualifying on a new track behind someone on a gp bike for their second time isn;t very impressive either.

Don't be so quick to rule out Suzuki's package for 2006.  Paul Denning has made it known the factory will be behind the project 100% to improve the engine capabilities to give Hopper and whoever his teammate should be a fighting chance against the Hondas and Yamahas.
<div align="right<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

so Ooost has suzuki only been behind the project emmm... 75% ?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (xB Rida @ Oct 22 2005, 11:25 AM)<div class='quotemain'>KrJr has been officialy released from Suzuki.  He will not be with them next year.
<div align="right<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
now does this really surprise anyone?

<div align="right<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I don't know what percentage I would assign but I will say they haven't been behind the project 100%. They build the best Production based race machines in the world, and what bikes do they make their money off? The GSV-R or the GSX-R? Why put all the resources into a project that requires ten times as much money with a fraction of the return. Suzuki are focused on winning production championships, Paul Denning has made it known he is working to get the focus back in GPs.

Lots of credible sources indicate CV replacing KrJr........

crash.net and superbikeplanet both reported it.

Let's wait and see......

As much as I'd like to see CV in MotoGP I don't think it's the right move. I was upset when Hopper re-signed with Suzuki and I'll be upset if Vermeulen signs for them as well. Two great talents who have a very bright future on uncertain machines. I understand the appeal of having a bike developed around you and being the center of attention but when you have proven factories offering you rides you must consider them. I know Suzuki has the bankroll and know how to make a MotoGP machine go fast but if they haven't gotten it right yet I wonder if they ever will. It's not a matter of being lack of knowledge or funds, it's a lack of focus. I truthfully believe Suzuki is more focused on making the GSX-R line better than the rest and winning SBK championships, that's where the consumer money is anyways.

I can't argue with you there Ooost.

I can see both sides to the Suzuki bike but there's always hope in the future. 2007 brings a whole new era and with Rossi leaving and some people getting old we will see new faces emerge into the spotlight.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Ooost @ Oct 23 2005, 07:31 AM)<div class='quotemain'>It's official, Chris Vermeulen to Suzuki MotoGP in 2006.  Read it here.
<div align="right<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Still just press speculation me thinks......................the commentry team on Eurosport did a quick run through of whose signed & who hasnt during this mornings practice, (they are usually very good on the rumour mill!)........................I still think Verm will land a Pon's ride.

Theres only 6 current motoGP guys that have had OFFICIAL team statements put out regarding contracts for 2006.

Rossi
Edwards
Hopper
Hayden
Nakano
Melandri

People/press can speculate as much as they want.................its all part of the fun really!
