but he is faster than Kallio today

kallio will beat hayden in the race, no question about that... question is will hayden be able to outrace newbies takahaski & canepa and score point on merit...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ROCKGOD01 @ May 26 2009, 12:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Be very realistic and understand the situation at present. Nicky has had limited time on the bike even for a racer and world champion. IF you really want to understand the issues about his deal then look no further than practice times reduced. This hurts especially since Nicky is usually the one rider who puts in the most laps a weekend. He has been hampered by people hitting him off the bike or close to it. The entire stigma of the GP9 is a mountain that needs time to climb. YOu don't reach the top of everest in a day or so. It takes time and being careful to reach the prize. I think Nicky understands his place and has confidence that he will do well on the duc as long as he has a bit more time to get a basic setting he knows he can work from and develop. I just don't think he has really had the time to arrive at a setting solid enough to work from.

Nicky needs time to adjust. He isn't a bonsai rider like Stoner and doesn't have the 250 background. Couple that with having to ride the GP9. Not easy for anyone. I would be really impressed if he finished top 10 this weekend.

cheap excuses... he must show at least slight progress race after race because he now has respectable number of laps on that bike... but instead of doing better he is doing worse as season progressing... he is hopeless in other words.

Yea, your stupidity knows no bounds...must be a slow day on the Hong Kong ... sites.

3. Casey Stoner Ducati 1m50.144s + 0.274s
15. Nicky Hayden Ducati 1m52.403s + 2.533s

14. Niccolo Canepa Pramac Ducati 1m52.319s + 2.449s
15. Nicky Hayden Ducati 1m52.403s + 2.533s

This is weekend likely the best we'll see from Canepa any time soon. He has no shortage of Duc track time at Mugello.

Guys its not Hayden, I dont know why everyone is caling for his head.

Case is the only guy that has been able to ride that bike for the last 3 years.

We all know Melandri and Haydens pedigree, they are both race winners and one is a former WC.

This thread is really just testament to how good Casey is. He is performing on a bike that with every other rider trundles around dead last..not even midfield.

I dont know the answer for Ducati but if anyone can work through the issues and have theright attitude its Hayden. Ducati should definatley stick wiht him.

capirossi was pretty solid, he had some respectful performance on 800cc duc ... hayden cannot come nowhere near capirossis level...

hayden has only ever been a mid pack racer, even in his WC winning year

what a stupid comment... midpack wtf?

the problem here with your little scheme to wind people up is a rider cant be a WC if he is a mid pack racer.... if he was a mid pack racer in his WC YEAR then he would of ended up somehwere in the middle on the points table you buttmunch.

your not a fan of the sport just a twisted attention seeking freak.

The topic should be retitled to "should someone sack Pinky".

3 WINS IN 6 YEARS and unarguably on the best machinery in most of those years suggest he is a midpack racer.

Fixed it for ya...anyhoo, look Hayden hasn't put it together and that is a fact but he has to deal with it in his own way and that isn't by doing 3 lap stints it is doing 100 lap stints and they aren't available. Ducati had to know that so they will give him all year to come up with something. Ducati are going to have to change the bike to make it more universal and that is what I think, in the end, Hayden's contribution will be. He will help create a more universal bike even if he only stays one year. You look at it like Ducati will reject Hayden but I think he will reject them if this continues and if his management isn't looking around already I'd be surprised. Ducati have a problem. World class guys can't break into the top ten on their machine and they only have their superfreak Stoner that can and there is no guarantee that he will do much this year either making it even worse. How will they recruit new riders unless their machine will be easier to adapt to? Hayden isn't going to win another world championship but that doesn't make him a lousy rider. His record is solid and he belongs in MotoGP, just on another type of machine. Melandri is a perfect example. Hayden is no Melandri but he is better than 14th. I think you'll find he'll throw in the towel and go to WSBK rather than waste more time in this series if he thinks it is hopeless to continue.

his record-simply shameful...

hayden isnt world class rider, never has been & never will be... world class rider would not have won just 3 gps (2 on home soil, 1 in assen gifted by edwards) in 6 years on honda factory machine... and four of those 6 seasons he spend on bike which is initially developed by rossi and burgess.

Doesn't matter it is all about the combination. If there is not a perfect match rider to machine either one can be fantastic and together they will do poorly.

hayden is a disgrace for premier class motorcycle racing... im waiting for more excuses how he and martinez needs to learn more about each other...

It is known as bad karma pinky; stoner's luck and results have progressively also deteriorated the more you have posted in this vein.
