Heard on BSB sunday that our Shakey could be replacing Bayliss in 09,anyone know more about it?
I know its what i want to see, and riding like he is now i think he could make a decent impact. But the season is long and a lot can change.
Ahhhhhh. I do want him to but then again I don't. It would be really great for him, but I quite like watching him in BSB.

If it did happen you still have my local boy Cal Crutchlow to thrill you all.Mind you if he keeps up this pace then I think he too is destined for bigger things in the near future.

It would be a brilliant move for Shakey, but then again shouldn't Ducati be focusing on getting a young talent in, with plenty of years ahead of him? Shakey's 36 and can't have too many years left in him... and with talk of him going there in 09, he'll probably only do one season. Plus with him leaving BSB aswell, who will be left there to watch? Crutchlow and Haslam are the only names in my mind..

I agree,maybe just a one year contract while they sort the young blood.Give Rea or Jonesy a chance as they should be settled in time for 2010 perhaps.

Ah, we do indeed have Cal Crutchlow. Yeah I agree with you, he is doing well at the moment. Just don't want his luck to change like Sykes'. I can't believe it. He's just so unlucky. He's a great rider, but he's not being given the time to prove it

Aye,poor Tom ,it just isnt cricket for him at the moment but I`m sure he`ll turn it around shortly.

Yeah hopefully. He doesn't deserve it. Hopefully Donington will work out well for him.

I was under the impression their kit was pretty decent spec, but am not really sure????

Well i think the airwaves bike is the best out there but the Bike animal team last year had HRC support very similar to HM plant and with the control tyre in place i'd expect them to be closer still this season. I haven't actually read or heard any decent information about it though, so it might not be the case at all.

All riders need the right circumstances to get the results, Shakey's performance so far is impressive for how he is maximizing the oppertunity he has. But as i have said the season is long and a lot can happen, if it goes well he may be interested, and may be offered a world superbike ride. How well he would do is anyones guess

Actually he's 31 - born 10/12/76, so another 8 years til he gets to Bayliss' age!

Moving on to bayliss... one advantage of him taking his leave is that the title race will be blown wide open. Imagine if he wasn't in it this year, anyone out of Checa, Haga, Nuekirchner, Corser, Biaggi could win it.. and with Shakey as his replcaement, I don't see him being able to build an 80 point lead after 5 rounds. It will at least be more competetive at the very top.
