What a terrible day for bike racing....RIP Marco
Also spare a thought for Valentino and Colin who were caught up in this dreadful incident through no fault of their own....they must be shattered at the moment and I feel dreadful for them as well.

Rossi is done, Colin will probably really be thinking twice...the loss of Marco really spells the end of GP, for me. He was the heir to the charismatic throne that Vale now occupies.
Rest in peace Marco. A bright star that went away too quickly. I will always remember your talent and spirit. Very sad day.

Agree, suddenly the prospect of Valencia doesn't seem interesting.
There is a thread in the Lounge for fallen riders.
I think this happened as a result of colin's machine impacting his back, rossi was on the outside when colins bike was thown into the side of his machine.
Will there be anyone left to ride at Valencia??
Doctors said that Sic arrived in cardiac arrest and in the neck there where obvious signs of the passage of a wheel. I think that's how the helmet came loose. The front wheel of Colin or Rossi ran over Sic's Neck and wedged the helmet off.
