Rossi threatens to leave Motogp if he dont get his way. CRY CRY

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Evolution @ Nov 5 2007, 12:37 AM) <div class='quotemain'>
I am saying that Rossi should and does have weight in the Moto GP management and its the way it should be. After all, he made it into big business and brought the sport to a point of recognition that it never had before. There is nothing wrong with him having influence on the decisions taken, in a way he was moto gp for the past 5 years.
Its not like he is trying to break the rules for his own benefit. He is trying to make the sport more interesting (like the single tyre rule, that made F1 much much better). And there is nothing wrong with him wanting to change tryes, if michelin did not give him the respect he deserves and he lost confidance with them, he is entitled to seek other tyres.

He was motoGP for 5 years? Right then,

More interesting like Formula 1?

Respect he deserves?

no bidgestones for rossi!

This aspect did also occur to me. I was hoping for a last-minute reconsideration after dani's performance on michelins today, but the deal already appears to have been done.

id say he's still the best rider, he's just on the wrong bike right now. all team's have up's & down's. i dont mind casey, but he could do with a personality. hope it's a closer season next year.

if he retired then thats fine, say i retire coz i had enough i have other aspirations.

he didnt say hes retiring he say he'll quit motogp. meaning he could race somewhere else like WSB.

but to put it like if i dont change tires then i am leaving, then thats an ultimatum.

and reeks of a sore loser

You can say a lot about Valentino Rossi, but he's not a ''sore loser''.
I really dont know what your problem is, all you do is being negative about the guy..maybe you should talk about other stuff for a change??? Cause quite frankly, it's getting a little bit boring to read the same stuff over and over again.

Good race today.
The Ducati rider had nothing to offer against Dani. As suspected, the Ducati can only win if it is first from the start.

Go back and watch the race, the Ducati did lead from the start and lead the first 4-5 laps but of all things, was out powered on a strait.

A 5 time world champion deserves to get it anyway he wants. He has made this sport so popular. He is the only rider who has been raised to a celebrity level, and attracted millions to the sport. Without Ross, no one would know who Stoner is, and he will definitely not have any prime time in e.g. CNN.

I'm laughing uncontrollably as I try to type this.

Oh I know this is an old thread. But I've been away for a while. I thought it would be entertaining and amusing to revisit this thread because this post is typical of the rationalization why Rossi "deserves" impartial and preferential treatment.
I've been reading it over and over in many other threads.

It’s to bad Pinky got most of the chastisement on this thread. It seems to me, the line of reasoning above was infinitely more noteworthy.

Hey, maybe they should have stopped testing Lance Armstrong after his fifth title, and said, .... it, you deserve preferential treatment. Uhm, what about an authentic contest are some people failing to understand?

Pressed for an elaboration we get:
