Stonking race!

I have to say watching Sete on a charge was nice, but I always had the feeling that Rossi had the upper hand.

Edwards had a good ride, shame he could mix it with the Rossi & Gib.

What happened to Nicky Hayden! He must be the easiest rider to pass in motoGP!! He seemed not even to challenge anyone??? Or was that just me thinking that?

Great race though!
Ben.

Would you follow Rossi if (god forbid) he ever left motoGP?

It was a fun race to watch Sete stalk Rossi and Edwards and to me it appeared as though Rossi might not have had the speed to take Edwards, and as usual he makes me eat my words and as soon as Sete closes up on him he gets by Edwards and leaves Colin behind. As far as Nicky goes he claimed to suffer from chatter again and I am very disappointed as a fan of his and as a fan of the sport. Here is a youngster who was compared to every 500cc superstar to come out of America when he won the AMA Superbike title at age 21. He showed enormous potential his rookie year and last year he had a rough year due to injuries, mechanical failures, the Honda chatter, but all in all he just didn't show the same form as in 2003. In testing he showed his speed again and Honda and Michelin preached they had solved the chatter problem for 2005 and now Nicky has a crash, a mechanical problem and two races he has claimed to have sufferred from chatter. I hate to make excuses for riders because when it comes down to it the guys who win, win for a reason. But sooner or later Nicky is going to break through the chatter, or the mechanical failures, or the crashes, or the lack of confidence and he will win races. If anything Hayden is a fighter, and guys like that can only take racing for the bottom step of the podium for so long until they break through.

PS Sorry so long, I get fired up talking about Nicky.

im waiting too for nicky to get tougher in gp and win cus hes a bit of a yanky softy at the moment, surely hes gunna do sumthink SOON

I think your right about Nicky Hayden. He, along with a lot of young riders such as John Hopkins, and other not so young but experienced riders like Edwards n Bayliss have all the talent in the world- enough to win the Championship.

But so long as Rossi is there on the grid at 2pm on sunday, they dont really have a chance of winning the title. Nothing against them at all, Bayliss n Edwards are my favourite riders but Rossi has a huge amount of talent and skill, in a leauge of his own.
Dont get me wrong, im not the worlds biggest Rossi fan, yeah i think hes the best, but hes not my favourite. I just think that when Hayden, Hopkins or Edwards are world champ, Rossi will be somewhere else..

Also we all know its a psychological game and at the moment the only one who can seem to pull one over on Valentino (occasionally) is Sete.
He is the only one who knows he CAN beat Valentino... sometimes! lol

ron , since troy as been into gp hes struggled cus of his style, he refuses to change which u must if u have a style like bayliss, i fell out with a m8 over him, he said hes gunna b gp champ ha ha ha . if theres a bike out ther he can ride id like to know

Ron I will agree with you, at the moment I would say there will not be another champion until Rossi leaves the series. Obviously riders can make big leaps in development of their skills and factories can breakthrough with a good design so I guess there is a chance but taking into account it sounds as though it is a done deal that Rossi will be gone to Formula 1 I don't think any rider or any machine will make a leap to Rossi's level by next year. Rossi Winner you are absolutely correct, Bayliss doesn't have the correct form if he wants to get anywhere in GPs. I enjoy watching him and he is one of the good guys in the paddock but when a guy says it's too late for him to change his style it says to me he is going to ride around and do his best and hope things go ok and wait for the next ride. I'm not saying Bayliss is sand bagging because I know he isn't, he has so much determination. You just gotta wonder if Bayliss is waiting for a ride on a Yamaha that Edwards has said suits a superbike style much more. Or perhaps a ride back in superbike. It is rumored that there will be an opening in both the WSB and AMA Ducati factory teams. As a fan of his I hope he succeeds in GPs but would I complain if I got to watch him stateside? No.
