..... slaping or not it will no doubt be the most interesting team challenge of the year. Rossi can't afford to loose, in fact he doesn't even want to consider the thought of loosing it, and Lunatic want's it so much. Mabe will see the good old Lunatic although I hope he has grown out of that.

Loosing the first round to Stoner won't be so hard on Rossi, he's been there before, but loosing to horge would be a hard one to swallow.

....full factory ride next year?

I'd love to think he can run with Stoner and Lorenzo, if they are to be the frontrunner's tomorrow, it's just a case of him getting the times down....and a much better engine.

Hopefully they will get the new engine soon. No doubt this race will unfortunatly be a very good showcase as to why the need it.

Lorenzo did some MEGA laps at the end of his stint, after FP3 tomorrow we should get a good idea of the race running order.

C'mon JT and Jorge.

I think Stoner is going to have to find a "little more" sooner than later with these two.

They are going to be "it"

...... if they aren't allready.

I would love to think JT is there already, but when he goes to the tracks he doesn't know, he won't be an immediate frontrunner.

I don't know who's going to challenge Stoner consistently.... the usual suspects probably.

That can be said for any rider.

i´m really impressed by all 4 rookies
but it was just the 2nd FP so we have to wait for the qualifying and the race, but if they can continue this way we will have a very interesting season
it will be tough for the big names to battle the rookies

also i was thinking a bit off topic but never the less still involoved with the talk, IMO i think the 08 title will go to someone that no one would expect to win it this year, i dont think stoner will run away with it/ or even win it.

Like lorenzo? Along with others I am not a particular fan but he is obviously hugely talented. I think we still do not have a good line on how good the yamaha is in race mode, since the problem last year was reputedly as much fuel economy as power. I think the michelins will perform well in the qatar race, but as has been said michelin were able to tailor-make tyres after testing only last week; they are known to be good at that, and the apparent improvement may not be transferable to other circuits.

because it was known the track temp would be quite cold and there for suiting michilin over bridgestone rossi in an interview tipped lorenzo to win.
no regrets just yet i think..

Try living in the USA. This is will be a little easier for us americans with the addition of Qatar's night race + Indy.

Barry...are U insinuating that JorZEROus and JameX will beat the experienced and proven riders of motoGP in 2008??? Valentino or Casey are the legend’s of this sport!!! Especially how Casey won it last year!!! U can’t just make assumptions and conclusions on a ...... night qualifying or 1st race of the season!!! Come on mate!!!...U wait till the real racing comes and these so called rookies are JUST that ROOCKIE’S, they will find out the reith of Rossi or Stoner at 300k’s+!!! There all punks with a false sense of security, u know beginners luck!!!...
