Are you really that suprised Ninja, because I can't say I am. My heart was hoping that JT would be up there amongst the front runners, but he is the big suprise for me. Maybe because of the unknown quantity of Moto GP v WSBK, maybe because he is a Brit and we Brits perhaps don't 'expect' a winner, and still applaud our losers. Who knows! But Jorge and Dovi.......along with Casey.....this is the new breed and the roll of honour will naturally move on, as history tells us.

I'm not surprised by Lorenzo. I'm not a big fan but I think the writing was on the wall for Pedrosa.

Spain needs a hero, nobody likes Pedrosa, Dorna with Ezy at the helm were going to make sure he got a sweet ride (he deserved it too). While they were at it, they threw Rossi a bone.

Dovi is a surprise though.

+1

I'm not surprised all that much either, but then again Mad Max came on strong in his first season in 500cc back in 1998 & enjoyed early success but was relatively quickly put back in his place in the overall picture. I think that Boy Jorge will probably taste a race victory or 2 this year, but the Championship will be stretching things a bit ( maybe in a year or two? )

It'd be great the see CE2 finally come out, carry through with his preseason form & actually run at the front on a regular basis as well!

King James will need to show some restraint in the early stages & work his way into the racing. He's shown already that he's plenty fast but a bit of the old biff & barge style of WSBK racing won't go down as well in this particular playground.

Damn, I hate the 3.45am start for the telecast here on the Oz east coast though! Think that I might have to do like many others & utilise my recording skills for the 125's & 250's...

Been keeping a watch on Dovi, the boy is gonna kick some ....

Me either and the big difference is Lorenzo is a risktaker and wouldn't care if he knocked you off.

Its gonna be a fun season especially if Lorenzo and Stoner come to blows

He'll be picking the odd victory off Casey, doing what Valentino did last year. Runner up in his rookie season and maybe the only man to really put any pressure on IMO.

Do you not think the bike is capable? It's far closer to being competetive at the start of this season than last. I truly believed/believe that Casey would/will walk it this year, again. But I also thought that Lorenzo would make a massive impact on the class. I'm starting to think that if Casey, unlike last year, starts making a few mistakes then that could leave the door slightly ajar for a Lorenzo title challenge.

I THINK JORGE COULD HAVE A GOOD SEASON THIS YEAR. HE HAS THE TALENT, BUT THERE WILL NOT REALLY BE TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON HIM. IF YAMAHA HAVE MANAGED TO IMPROVE THE BIKE AND IF MICHELIN GET THERE ACT TOGETHER, HE COULD BE AN OUTSIDE CONTENDER.

He may not have the pressure on him, but.............I'll be honest, I don't particularly like him him. I haven't particularly warmed to his antics, in fact I see him almost as a copycat artist. However, what I think personally doesn't matter because the guy he has been trying to upstage from a class below, is now his team mate. Does he need any more personal incentive? Will the team need to push him? I don't think so, you can see it in his eyes.

If these two ..... slap each other enough, and Casey starts making his old mistakes, might just leave the door open for a glorious title no.2 for Nicky.....eh Jumkie!!!!!

HA HA HA ! GO JT !

resists urge to mention JT third on a pig slow Tech3

Lorenzo did some MEGA laps at the end of his stint, after FP3 tomorrow we should get a good idea of the race running order.

C'mon JT and Jorge.
