Thanks Arrab, reading your post has reinforced my thoughts on this tragedy, like you, I haven't been able to post anymore than a few words.
I'm sure most of us have similar thoughts in regards to Marco, somehow well all knew that one day he would be right up there making a race of it with the current leaders, and maybe even with his great friend Vale. Now though its not to be, in the most horrific of circumstances a true shining light has left us way too soon, 24 years of age....way too soon.
I also am feeling regret for over criticizing any rider in this sport, for this I do apologize for they risk their lives every time they get out on track, more often than not our passion gets in the way of our better judgement, a Human trait, and only through such a Human tragedy can this awful trait be highlighted.
The blame game is not appropriate here as this incident is a tragic culmination of many circumstances. Evaluation of the circumstances must be left for another time as for now we need to devote our energies to remembering the young man, the racer, the talent, the bravery, the fun, the wonderment and the sacrifice.
To Colin and Vale.......may you both not feel any way to blame. My best wishes to you both
You will be sadly missed Marco, with your larger than life persona.. A huge loss.
