Red Bull Grand Prix of the America

Agree with 22&Gaz, I do believe I said the same thing earlier in this thread that you have to punish on the action and not the result. If you only punish on the result then you're punishing or not punishing people for things out of the offending riders control. Ie if the other rider decides to pick the bike up or does a brilliant job to not crash etc.

There's too much abuse of people on here when there is a difference of opinion.
When it causes people to leave then it's gone too far.
I took a vacation for awhile. You were on the edge at one point, I think. People just get locked into little negative boxes and it becomes hard to change.

I was shocked at all the interaction with synn, to be honest. I thought he was an adolescent filled with junior high insults. I didn't understand the banter with him, except that we all get a little bored, and I wrote it off the talk to idle entertainment. I then read where he claims to have a history of following racing, and wrote something coherent. That was even more surprising.

[Ah, synn, I think you over do it. I know the other boys can be rough, but at least it isn't constant profanity and pointless insults.] 2cents

I only dish it out to those who deserve it.
The rest, I get along with swimmingly, and that includes those who don’t particularly care about Rossi.

Your hubris is outstripped only by your grandiosity. Or is it the other way around?

I feel bad for Cal fans. This year I tried my best to like the guy but he makes it impossible. His mentality is killing him. He always wants to believe he’s faster than he is, and pushes too hard. He could have finished a solid 5th or 6th this weekend but kept pushing past his limits. He was clearly past the edge before the crash.
He reminds me of so many failed NFL quarterbacks that have physical talent but keep throwing picks because their overconfidence tells them the throw was there

I can't wait for Misano ...we're all flying in to give you a good slapping as per your invitation,i shall pin your arms behind your back while Keshav knees you in the nuts [if they've dropped yet that is].Don't forget to wear your Rossi romper suit, you know, the one with the cute fake kneesliders.

What Marc said in the presser was a warning of sorts to fans and to Carmelo. What he was saying is, after all this ........ over a racing incident at Argentina and the ........ penalty at COTA, im no longer going to hold back and race, then attack in the end which i prefer, the new strategy will be bolt to a two to three second lead early then manage. i will remove the drama of close racing and you can manage the fans screaming about boring racing. In other words, his ride yesterday was a big .... you to Dorna and the whining twats who were calling for his banishment

I agree with your statement! That's how I read it in this bit > https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/894457/1/special-motivation-fuels-marquez-romp

I agree. If anyone could benefit from investing some time and $$$ into some PR insight I think it would be Cal. I get it that some people find it refreshing that he appears to lack a PR filter and the mind-set of a racer involves a level of self-centeredness but there are consequences to that if it looks like your punching above your weight. Part of me wanted to see him get on the podium just to see if he followed through with his claim of turning back the majority of the reporters in the post race press conference.

We'll find you ok,you'll no doubt be hanging out round the back of the Yamaha garage hoping for a wave from your hero,if you're really lucky he might bash you out of the way on his paddock scooter...he likes doing that to his fans.

I don’t know if Movistar Yamaha is doing a make a wish event, but if they do, you two are definitely making it backstage.

Make sure to yell “SNS! Rigged system!!! Stoner was better”!! Etc when you catch a glimpse of Rossi!

To your credit, you don’t.
You KNOW you’re inadequate.

To speak to you in your own terms, you've got nothing.

I make no claims about myself, I am another poster on a fan forum, while you would appear to be of the belief both that you are somehow qualified to judge others, despite all evidence to the contrary, and that your ludicrous and inept schoolboy jibes constitute "punishment"

Yeah, you're a regular caped crusader. You read wayyy too many comic books.

Pye old man, violence as satisfying as it sounds on the internet - would be lost on this guy, as has appeals to reason or logic. If this guy is really in his 30s and posting crap like this, he's not a troll so much as he is mentally deranged. I've known guys like him over the years and they all end up badly, in prison for wife beating or raping a nephew, or shot in some dive-bar while mouthing off to a cop or stirring sauce behind the counter at an airport Sbarros. Just being himself is punishment enough.

Whilst I know you're joking, (and I did chuckle) you have to admit the huge role that tyres play in a successful race, it has been seen time and time again that, even with control tyres, the wrong choice can scupper the chances of even the best rider.
I don't think that there is a person on this forum who does not acknowledge that.
So to have the advantage of tyres made especially for you based on your data gathered that week from the track you're going to be racing on? It is impossible to deny the advantage that that gives, surely?

This isn't meant to be an insult or taking sides, but just looking at it logically from a pure engineering point of view.

So, if we know the above to be absolutely correct, then it is also logical to state that Vale did have an advantage during the SNS period.
I am not saying that he would not have won without the SNS, just that he had an advantage. Whether any given individual feels that this either taints or nullifies his titles under SNS is up to that person.

For what it's worth I think Vale had better race craft than Casey but Casey was faster.
If you put the 2 on identical bikes and tyres, Casey wins 9 times out of 10. But that is just my opinion and therefore has no bearing on reality.
