Canet’s race was absolutely ruined by the soft tyres. Not sure about Foggia, but I think he had softs too.

Dunlops are not Michelins, but I don’t think anyone will opt for softs for the race.

Agree - although Zarco and Ianonne may yet surprise us.

Looks like one of the bumps got Schrotter pretty bad. Nasty highside.
Maybe COTA will hire someone competent to fix the track next time around.

On BT commentary they were saying Silverstone spent £5m resurfacing, I wonder how much COTA"s 'shave' cost?

It's ok, they penalized Rossi 3 positions. Or was it .3 secs? I can't remember....

Oh yes I do.

The beautiful symmetry, the parallels, it's like a gift from the universe to expose Rossi and his fans.

The hypocrisy of Race Direction is embarrassing.

Its too bad Marquez isn't as shameless as Rossi. He would bring this up and all the other .... in press conferences.

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

The problem is, the other riders need to stop racing on Rossi’s dawdling line

Good racing in the other classes, today. I was sorry Brad B. got beat at the line. I expect a lot more from Binder, actually.

Binder and Mir would be title contenders next year, I feel.
Both have the raw talent, just need a bit more time to adapt to the bigger, more powerful bike (although mir is adapting a lot faster than Binder).

Yeah, I really ruined the race. You are such a prick! You never post about those other races, but you ..... at me. You are truly a bitter little boy without a life. Either grow up or shut up.

It always amazes me how a person with cancer could be selfish and indignant prick to others. One would think you would be grateful and kinder to others given a second chance at life.

Not sure MM is going to win today.

Gut feeling is this may not be his day. Could see someone different winning, or even Vinales pulling one out.

I would imagine that it is far more physical given the comparative lack of engine braking and the weight.

I would think so too. Never ridden an electric “superbike” myself, but I can’t wrap my head around no gearshifts and next to no engine braking.

He's half a second faster than the rest. You could be right - but I think the only person that can beat Márquez is Márquez. Viñales had pace here last year but pushed too hard.

Turn 1 always concerns me.

Beating himself is why I'm not sure about him winning. I think he might have too much to prove after Argentina and it's obviously not a good thing if that is the case.

Agreed on turn 1. Have hated this circuit since F1 first raced here in 2012. Felt like it was just a ripoff of a number of other circuits. Everyone goes gaga for the elevation change to turn 1, but that's the only defining feature of the circuit. The stadium section is god awful. You have a long back straight that is featureless save for the armco and catch fencing. The esses while technically challenging is far too long of a section. Nothing special about the final 2 corners. It's just Tilke garbage like every other circuit he designed.

Bautista and Abraham on soft rears!!??

Can see the track temp reaching the low 40s by the end of the race. Rossi (probably begrudgingly) forced to run the hard read. Will the mediums pay off for some? I'm certain that Cal and Marc will run the hard rear - Reading on full hard front and rear.

.... knows.
