i been checking the times on the moto gp website and am impressed with randy performance,
does any think that he might be a condender for 08' or another inconsistant Marco? he seems to be staying on the machine a bit more lately.

thought anyone?

Two days of testing doesn't equal title contender. He can be extremely quick but ususally finds himself in the gravel shortly after.

I think that was said about someone else about a year ago.

Exactly, before we go handing him the trophy lets see how the season turns out. If he does pull a Casey and takes it then good on him, but I am not holding my breath

That's a load of crap.

Yes, he had a patchy first half, but by the end of the season he improved a lot, he got some decent results and was regularly finishing races.
If he can build on that this year he should do well.

I really do not take much from his times. He is running for the same team that ran Carlos Checa last year, and Checa did not run too well if I remember right. I hope Randy does well, but I think the team will let him down.

I hope he has a good season. He may have been hampered by a poor bike in the past. It would give the French another contribution to the world. Their first noteworthy being mayonnaise. Joking I like the French.

i don't think he left a full factory ride because he wanted to.

I still think it was a strange decision by kawasaki. Much as I would like to see ant west do well, he has never looked like he has the sort of pace that de puniet has .

The more people who find happiness on their machines the better, we need less bitching and more racing.

It's nice to see someone new riding well, but I think Randy is already riding at 105% while everyone else is cruising and testing parts. I hope he stays fast, but I anticipate him being mid pack by the time they start running qualis on race setup.

Pleasure to see you posting again friend.

I can think of a few other noteworthy contributions to the world the French have made.

True, but when West came in he racked up more points faster than de puniet and that brings the cash in.... trashing the bike has the opposite effect.

Hey, I resent the implication that I am shallow enough to be swayed by mere physical appearance, that I would rush to a riders defence only because when he falls off he always strips off his leathers showing off his smooth tanned torso and the top of his boxer elastic.

How shallow do you think we lady fans are?

Seriously though, I do think he's improving, and given decent support, could be capable of surprises.

de puniet = going fast, cause all he needs to do is find setting for his bike.
every1 else = testing parts and not giving it 100%

wait til the factories get their .... settled and their special tires and it will all return to normal.

plus, trend says RDP goes fast for only a few laps, never over the whole race distance (spare me the minor details on how he has done well in some races, i know)

we used to say that about stoner as well,

but statistically speaking, satellite teams rarely ever win races, let alone championships.

and spare me the gibernau/satellite team thing, he had a factory honda ride.

West is not quite as good at qualifying, but he did demonstrate aptitude in the races, running up front on more than one occasion.
