Hehe Yeah a bit overboard there mate I know...

Chaz remember the last couple of seasons riding a 4 year old bike and constantly in the points, plus he is the only Brit representative in that class...

But Im sure Wes can put you straight..

we used to get world speedway championship here on speed. unfortunetly no more

i'm not particularly found of racing round in a circle (oval actually) but i really started enjoying speedway.

I remember getting speedway over here, haven't seen it in years now. Doesn't really tickle my fancy, I'm a bit partial to dirt track over here but not much more entertaining to speedway. Dirt track ocassionally runs a TT where they turn right, crazy concept. Really enjoy seeing the Springfield TT but I can't remember the last time they broadcasted it. I wanna say 2002 when Nicky was in it and won... I think.

Or Bradley Smith? He`s been in what? Two world championship races? Dont get me wrong, the kid`s fast and he`s got potential, might even take a championship one day. But he`s hardly a racing legend yet..... Methinks the rose tinted glasses are making a comeback

Definitely a case of rose tinted glasses. If someone finishes twelfth and fourteenth you don't consider him a future champion, so why if someone makes one top twenty and one twenty second finish and is British you do?

Be patient, bud. Once there's an Israeli privateer doing wildcard rounds in 125s and struggling to finish, let alone score points, you`ll be backing him, too. Saying he's the next Rossi. Like the Turks are no doubt doing with that no hoper who cant even qualify fast enough for the grid. But that's not his fault. I bet the local press are saying he's just going through a tough time. We all do it, just in varying levels.

It's just hard for the poms because the likes of Sheene and Foggy no longer grace the tracks.

Actually, Israel had one of them not long ago. Test driver for Minardi or somesuch, name of Chanoch Nissany. Can't stand the guy. It's obvious to everyone he hasn't got a chance, despite the media's best attempts at convincing us otherwise.

And in fact Minardi took the hint after one race.

Roth was an excellent 250 rider who had his career cut short in tragic circumstances,I remember the footage of his crash very well, its something so bad its unforgettable to me.Ironically he had a similar incident at the Salzburgring in Austria a week or so before, very scary onboard footage.Very rightly put in the Hall of Fame
