<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (gsfan @ Apr 13 2009, 09:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>They couldn't race yesterday... in a couple of hours they had today arranged. What in hell more can you expect? The contingency plan is race today. Done.

And I love the night race in Qatar the show is great. .... happens...move along.
A well run, professional organization would have delineated the contingency beforehand and they would have had a solution within minutes not been negotiating with the principles for hours...

Are you that dense?

But it is the weather not a mistake. I feel bad for the fans of course it is bad all around. But that is life. Give them free tickets for next year or something substantial. The teams know there will be things going wrong it is expected but what were they doing today anyway? Hope they had flight insurance. If Rossi missed his flight or something I doubt the $500 is making a big diff to him.

Yes apparently. Your point? Oh a well run professional organization bs....I don't know how long you have been actually working but surely you know there is no such thing. Seriously you have to be kidding. Most companies, if not all, are clusterfucks with lousy planning.

Again... A well run, professional organization would have delineated the contingency beforehand and they would have had a solution within minutes not been negotiating with the principles for hours...

I DO NOT consider myself an expert on business protocol, but this is a simple call... plan for the best, BUT expect the worst and be ready...

It's not about Rossi missing his flight, he earns £36 million a year for Christ's sak, (more when he forgets to complete his tax return), - don't forget Rossi was probably instrumental into the move to Monday.

it's about the huge extra expense that this has incurred to everyone from race fans to hospitality, through to the teams and team owners themselves. Meanwhile Dorna are laughing all the way to the bank as usual.

.... happens, move on? Well look at a series like BSB, that has consistently made wrong decisions, but isn't afraid to admit when they make a wrong turn, and work hard to redress it. BSB is a progressively forward thinking operation IMO, unlike Dorna, which is almost regressive and myopic in its operation, because everything revolves around immediate profit.

Uh, yeah, you don't think the rather wealthy Qataris would leave the track in an unusable condition, did you?

That's 'cause Honda's not using any gyro-positioning and his TC therefore malfunctioned...

Nah... I doubt it... BM only chimes in when he believes he can obscure fact...

Humidity rising....62% was 49% at start of warm-up.

So looks like we've got some groups forming here.

Rossi/Stoner for win
Dovizioso, Lorenzo and Capirossi for podium
Edwards, Pedrosa, Mole, De puniet, Elias, De Angelis, Kallio, Melandri fight for top 10
Others making up the numbers

Rossi was not as close in Warm Up 2, Stoner nearly in the 55s... must be the temps.
Hope we still get a good battle.
