I wasn't keen on the move to a night race and this just reaffirms my feelings about it. What a waste of time and money. If it had been run in the daytime, they could have raced in the wet.

I'm as pissed as anyone because the race is cancelled, and I'm definatly not a fan of Dorna lately, but blaming Dorna for rain at a place it rains 6 days a year is the lamest I've heard this year. Get a grip or you may just as well blame them for Global warming, terrorists and Haydens high side as well. They are all probably closer to Dornas possible influence than a freak rain storm.

Cheer up Jum, Cameron Beaubier bagged 16th in the 125 race, not bad at all for his first GP

This is by far the stupidest comment you have ever made, and you have had a Who's Who of Stupid. Who the hell is blaming Dorna for rain? It’s the ....... lack of contingency that is the problem here.

MotoGP.com official website is saying they are only "considering" Monday race.

This will say alot about Dorna and its executives, I just hope the voice of reason steps in and they race tomorrow. Yeah, the two extra weeks would give Nicky a chance to heal up though, so I'm torn, but I wanna see racing.

Those bums from motogp.com probably went to sleep.
The information comes from the Spanish news...
Gess will have to wait for tomorrow to get info from the official motogp site.

The information about Hayden bike cease was in the internet. I cant remember but still looking for it. I said it was mechanical with engine cease. Tough to do a search with so much information running arround.

Or better still, Eurosport.

I doubt whether BBC will cover it, I bet Parish and Cox fly out tomorrow. At least Toby and Julian are in a broom cupboard at British Eurosport HQ, and can be summoned tomorrow on overtime to commentate on a live feed. The recorded coverage can be shown at a later slot.

you could buy the race on motogp if your really desperate or wait for the torrent release.... theres a guy called Wolfie does good caps which you can find on sites like Mininova.

A Monday race makes sense being as all the teams and equipment are already there, plus I doubt they want to lose a race.

I've just checked the MotoGP site and it's now listed on the homepage under Time Schedule:

Thats funny, they have a link that says: "MotoGP Qatar race to be run on Monday" but when you click on it they still say "under consideration" and "may be run on Monday".

Ah, Dorna.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>A rare rainstorm at the Losail International Circuit on Sunday evening saw the first MotoGP race of the year cancelled at the Commericalbank Grand Prix of Qatar. Postponement to Monday is under consideration.

After shortened 250cc and 125cc races earlier in the evening at Losail on Sunday the MotoGP race at the first Grand Prix of the year had to be cancelled due to a heavy rainstorm in the Arabian desert, which made it unsafe to ride at the 5.380km circuit. The race could be run on Monday.
