i won't hold my breath.

colins 6th place was not bad. hell he was still way ahead of the kenlucky kid. who as we will see begin to whine is it the parts or is dani boy gettin the better of the equipment? let the crying begin. and yamaha will find the power they need to overcome this trite issue.
rossi is king and will be crowned again
read it and weep.

I doubt that.

Nicky is very noble and honest, he won't ..... about it.

Then why say anything at all about it?
"It's been a tough weekend but I'm not going to whine and make a bunch of excuses," said the straight-talking Kentuckian. "I qualified ninth and finished eight and, compared to the top boys, we've just been off the pace for the whole weekend. The biggest problem is confidence in the front and getting the bike to steer how I want it to.

confidence? what now he's got the shakes?

Well then why have riders say anything then? The most whiney or bitchy thing Hayden said there was that he had no confidence in the front and steering issues. He isn't pointing blame anywhere and said from the get go that he didn't have the speed in Qatar.

Well actually, aside from Nicky Hayden, since Malaysia back in September last year, Marco Melandri, Loris Capirossi, Tony Elias, Troy Bayliss and Casey Stoner!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Racejumkie @ Mar 13 2007, 09:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Who do we have to thank for that?

Capirossi and Bayliss. Certainly not Hayboy Jumkie!

Pete

i think hayden is to thank because a lot of riders suddenly believe they can beat rossi, when before they were very much affraid of him. But its difficult to say if that ever affected the new kids like dani and Casey, because i think not.

Yes, but none other than Hayden managed to beat him to a championship. Which is a big difference.

BTW: I was thinking about this now that you brought up "old" Sete. I wonder if he wishes he could have stayed on that Ducati?....

(what could have and might have been, eh?)

regardless of what he was riding i think Setes career came to its natural end. He wasn't riding on the level that his previous performance showed he was capable of and he wasn't prepared to drift around on the off chance of an odd win and maybe a resurgance if things worked out.

Stoner taking him out in a crash is hardly a "natural" way to end. How tragic that the guy who ushered in prematurely the end to his career took, what would have been his ride, to a victory over his nemesis. Ouch, that's fate kicking your ....

The crash was a great shame i agree. But i believe sete was on his way out regardless.

Nah, I think he had another year in him but could stomach the thought of seeing Rossi in front of him again. Too bad for us, I wished to see him win one more time, at least to prove Rossi wrong...but unfortunately he proved him right. Ouch, that's fate kicking your ....

think that yahamas should do quite well at next track compared to this as the cornering is different on the ducati. if you say saw the number of times that stoner was outbraked by rossi but he just didn't have enough horse power to take over on straight. I hope that ductai do quite well at next race but the yahamas might have a bit of an aadvantage as they corner better.

pitty that colin edwards didn't get further up. even last year he wasn't really up there. he should be fine when he works out that the pace he is going to go at.

anyway enough about that, what a great race it was and showed that ducati was really the fastest straight bikes. stoner going about 12 mph faster than rossi
