<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Slide @ Mar 1 2009, 11:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>just came back from a little holiday weekend, and the first thing i did, as always when i got home was opening my firefox and start up powerslide and motogp.com and oh my god!!! hayden fastest?! is this a hayden fan hacking the site?! am i dreaming?!

so i clicked the link and voila a normal looking post set-up(picture+big header) so it aint a hacker...
with almost tears in my eyes i start reading about my fave rider... "little action on track as rain hampered the work of the MotoGP field in the Middle East." wtf, this is a hacker!!! rain in qatar?! its a damn desert!!! i kept on reading and i convinced myself its not a hacker, still, having barely beaten melandri kawasaki was my dream finish, but not kallio being three!!!

dont get me wrong, i am huge melandri fan from 2006, where he was so ....... fantastic!
<
but hayden and melandri beating some kids at impossible weather isnt really that cool, its something i'd expect hayden to do, cuzz he's top class... this test results mean almost .... to me... where the .... is stoner?!, and rossi, capirex, dani?

but guys, HAYDEN'S FIRST ON DAY ONE!!!!!!!
<
<
<
<
<
and so i should stop whining and start sleeping, gotta wake up early tomorrow
<

go hayden, go melandri, you guys are the men!!!, only jorge and casey up there and ofcourse his royal rossiness himself and 2009 will be the year of years
<

I was very shocked to see the results this morning too. I logged onto motogp.com this morning and almost messed myself. Then I came on here and read about the rainy conditions and the fact that a few riders didn't even get out on their bikes. So...before we get too excited about these results, let's remember that there are still two more days of testing and I doubt everyone was pushing themselves too hard on such a wet track. If I remember correctly, the average lap time for Qatar is a little less than 2 min, and Hayden barely hit the 2 min mark. I'm sure if the weather conditions improve we will see some much better lap times. I really want to see Hayden on top, but this test is just beginning...

And by the way...my family lives in Qatar and it actually rains quite a bit in the winter months.

Go Hayden!

Ha ha! Action shots from the Ducati Marlboro teams first day of testing at Qatar
<
Can anyone spot the hard-worker?? I'm glad to see Hayden out there pushing himself.

It's rare to see that marlboro logo on the Duc. I think I like the look of the bar code a lot more.

kudos to Hayden for puttin' the laps in last night. It was pretty much a wash for any technical feedback. Hayden needs seat time, plain and simple, and thats what he did.

Ok...wtf. These are the results I read on MotoGP.com. Team FIAT seems to be struggling...Rossi's lap time has to be a mistake. Anyone know the reason for this? Did he walk the lap?!

Right, cause he'd go 1 second slower when track conditions improve? 8 laps tell you so much don't they!

There was a forum member that claimed he'd leave if Nicky signed with Ducati. Will you do the same (but submit to an IP ban and actually leave?) if Nicky either podiums or sets pole before Laguna?

Not a mistake, just that at some time way beofre he went out on his only lap, the transponder passed the sensor and started timing until he came back.

yes, but in case he'll be on podium beside States. wins and poles even on home soil are out of question.

he improves but still over a second behind injured casey. top 10 in Qatar Q session will be possible?

Besides you're biased opinions, thanks for the updates. What website are you getting these from?

And if "injured Casey" is as injured as you think, do you really think he'll have the stamina to last a full race? That's one lap genius.

Everyone ahead of him is on last year's bike and 3 are on same tires.
How's it taste, younger brother?!

Updates are from GPone.com

Judging by the amount of laps each rider has completed, it looks to be quite early yet. I wonder if Toseland is still feeling the effects of that big crash as he's a half click off de Puniet. Pedrosa must have a sore knee, there's no other reasonable explanation as to why he's 2.7 seconds off. Good stuff from Takahashi, improving with every test. I would like to see Kallio a bit higher up but not bad. Lorenzo has put in the most laps and is still a bit off the pace, that tells me he and his crew may be a little lost and that worries me. Would like to see Dovi up a few places, Elias is about where I thought. Really impressed with Melandri's time. Capirossi and Vermeulen really seem to have the Suzuki sorted, and CV, very impressive. What did I tell you, Jum? I'd take CV over Hype any day. Hayden still that magical 1.xx off of Stoner but only a half click behind Rossi, which is promising. Great to see Edwards right up there with Valentino. And Stoner, what can you say? He's fast. Only 11 laps in so far, I wonder if he's hurting a bit.

Again, there's a lot of test time left so we'll see where everyone shakes out at the end of the day. Promising stuff so far though.

Clark, don't be fooled, he is the SAME person: Pinky. He's done this already a few times. He makes ALIAS and fools members into thinking he's another person.
