Crikey!

anyone know if they are using the "new swingarm"?
The bike couldn't have been "bucking" to get that time!

What's the lap record? I'm baffled at how fast Stoner is going and no one can seem to touch him. Insanity. BTW, anyone know if the Tech 3s are kitted with Monster stickers yet?

Wow...my respect for Stoner grows every day. Geez, I feel like a lame-o fan-boy
<
Oh well, you have to respect a lap time like that!! That guy is DRIVEN!

Well, he's not as fast as he was last year yet, but give him time. He seems to own this track!

Last Year:

MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner needed just 45 minutes to find his bearings around the floodlit circuit of Losail in Qatar, with almost five and a half million watts lighting up the first official test session at 1800h local time, following a spectacular opening ceremony. Within an hour Stoner had clocked a stunning lap of 1'55.368, inside the current lap record and almost three seconds clear of his nearest rival. The test didn't finish until 0100h in the morning but both Ducati Marlboro Team riders were in positive mood. Track temperatures at 2000h were around 18°C

Apparently he holds the record

Yeah, I read that... just don't know if they'd run the old one for a short session to set a baseline in tonight's conditions before swapping.

Everything I've read says track conditions are cool (compared to '08 race) but track is sand free...
