Qatar Test

Looks like they may be genuinely struggling, my guess is tire. It is day 1. I expect it to get much better next couple days. HRC will not sleep, and they have an army of techs.

Where did Barbara come from.

The same woods he came out of in the last two tests. He seems motivated

So. Aprilia bought the ZeroShift transmission.
And it would appear that the lower winglets aren't for cooling after all (Ducati deleted them and Honda added them nowhere near vents)

Okay... Gents and Gals.. Fans and fanettes..

Day Two of the great Qatar Testing of 2016..

Same results? Georgie Porgie still fastest? Bossie Rossi pick it up?

The Young Maverick, Maverick Vinales still running crazy good with the speedy Suzuki?

Duc's still fast with Iron eyes Iannone on top.. Followed by Ready Fast Redding and The Barbarian Barbera coming out of no where with a great time!

Is Hondo Honda and Marky Mark going to make a showiness , or is pretty guy Cal still going to reign supreme on the Gold Wing..

Is Aprilia going to, well, is going to show up with the same great paint job..

Yes.. This is what sick MF'ing puppies do....

Yeah I'd wait to reserve any judgment about where Iannone or even Dovizioso are with the Ducati till we see if any times come out of Stoner's test.

My guess is Stoner would have been half a second clear of Iannone today. At least. In fact I'd say closer to 6 or 7 tenths.

Just saying.

Vinales was using the '15 chassis today. Tells you how much this year's engine has improved...if only they had the engine last year...what a waste.

If we see similar results today then I'd say the season is looking good for Vinales, Redding, and Barbera!

Hopefully there is some fresh blood up there, will make things more exciting.

Lorenzo has stated that there will be a lot of surprises in the race, and Marquez is apparently struggling with Mid corner turning, which subsequently is affecting his corner exit.

I'm starting to think Marquez needs to start learning how to adapt his riding style.

The days of riding the front, and using heavy late braking under the expectation the front will hold to rotate the rear is over for him barring any tire construct changes to allow for this...none of which I see occurring.

I don't mean to sound cynical, but did barbera put in those laptimes on his own?
Let's hope that for a change the suzukis don't just look good in testing.

What are they for anyway? Can't be supposed to add downforce on the front can it? Genuine question

Marquez certainly matured in 2015 with regards to tempering the win it or bin it mentality. But I agree and think the Michelins are a lot less forgiving than the Bridgestones to that sort of style, coupled with the fact Honda can no longer use in-house software to tame any of Marquez' exhuberance.

I believe he did, as I haven't heard otherwise. Plus he's been quick in almost every test.

When Ducati intorduced them, they supposedly were to help keep the nose down on acceleration, along with cooling, as Dr No pointed out. Whether they actually do or not, is subject to a thread all of its own.

I thought they were for distracting from that awful McDonald's livery a few years back.

Would be great if someone in the know could shed some light on this. Have yam or honda ever done that?

Night 2!

Piroo has already restyled his Ducati (GP15).
