Casey Stoner is next due on track during a private test at Qatar from March 6-7 riding the GP16.
Hopefully we get some times out of that test to see if Iannone has really picked things up, or if he is leaving a bit of time on the table.
Also just imagine, Vinales doesn't have the full seamless gearbox which won't be ready till later in the week.

Yeah let's not start sucking each others dicks just yet.
Testing is what it is, doesn't mean .... right now since we have no idea what kind of fuel loads were being used, both Vinales and Lorenzo ...... off back to the pits after those laps. Could have been glory laps for all we know.

Hahaha, we are some sick puppies. Getting all excited during a test, with over 2 hours to go. I'm with all of you. Seeing Viñalez and Redding up there is good. Also, Viñalez, this would be 2nd test he's doing well. So that's something.
JP, true, lap times tentative, but they do give us some idea, also what do u mean side topic, those pics are beast. Too bad they're gonna be out of camera shot during races. Plus we got KTM next year.
Rafa, fantastic idea, limit the number of tech wizards for top teams. Like the standard ECU, make garage personnel standard. Never thought of that. While we're at it can we also ban glory hole camera shots of the towel holder guy in the garage during a race?

I really dislike the thought of Vinales ....... off to HRC. It looks like the time off Suzuki took may have done them a world of good, and I'd hate to see them not hold onto a good rider, and be unable to accomplish some great things. I'm hoping MM's crew blocks any Vinales to HRC move for the same reason they blocked Stoner. It benefits the fans more if Suzuki has a great rider on at least one GSX-RR.
Haha, everyone was in the middle of talking about the actual times, so I didn't want to interrupt the flow. It's a shame the high res pictures are the only way we will ever get a good look at any of these bikes. Let's you see so many nice little details and engineering ideas.

If I could talk to Jorge right now, I would just ask him what he is hoping to accomplish by these times, and if he's given any real consideration to Michelin making some SNS tires for Rossi as a result.
I admire his drive, but his common sense is missing right now.

I feel you.. But, after their finish last test in PI, and now running very well again.. I think at least a little groping is called for. Maybe a quick reach around.

Ha! Agree. Had it been a one off, then ok, but this is another test Viñalez is doing good.
One thing that's for sure, this test has the most influence on the season opener (for obvious reasons). But like JP said, and as you know I'm a hopeless cynic, JLO needs to slow down a bit. Don't show your cards.
Looks like VR got the hurry up. And WTFs up with Danni. I finally decide to root for him and he's taking a dump.

Looking at the times since Vinales came back out, he's back into the 1:56's...I think those were low fuel, glory runs tbh. But Jorge seems intent on reminding the entire grid...and Dorna and Michelin how fast he can be.
Maybe we will luck out and Lorenzo will blitz the field in the actual GP, but I'm feeling less confident of this each time he goes out there and sets another qualifying lap.

I was eating lunch with a couple of guys at work and I had my phone laying on the table watching the test times roll in. One of them saw that I kept getting distracted and asked me what I was watching. I told him I was watching a MotoGP test. He was like, you mean a race, they are racing someplace? When I explained no, that I was merely watching a test, and just the first day of a three day test, he just had this plank stare on his face.. And this WTF look..
Then, I went on to explain that most of the races are over sea’s and are typically televised at very odd times here on the east coast, like at 8am or sometimes 1am or 4am. He asked me if I DVR them, I was like no, watch them all live. He said, “you mean the 8am ones you watch live”, and I was “no, I watch them all live”. More WTF look..
Just not sure a person that hasn’t watched a MotoGP race, been to a MotoGP race and/or doesn’t have that crazy motorcycles obsession can fully understand the excitement , passion and dedication of a MotoGP fan.

Looks like they may be genuinely struggling, my guess is tire. It is day 1. I expect it to get much better next couple days. HRC will not sleep, and they have an army of techs.
