looks like capirossi is the one with the real pace. he did 16 laps in the 48s. rossi only did 5 laps in the 48s. barros, biaggi, gibs only did 4 each. hopper did 3 but also did the 47. but none with the exception of capirossi were consistant. saturday will see!

Interesting. Do you think Rossi might actually not win then?

well... i'll reserve my answer to that after sat qualifying. rossi is probably sand baggin as always. i won't bet against him yet. but if the times look like this tommorro, capirossi has the pace to leave everybody behind. should be quite interesting!

GO LORIS!!!!!

hope nicky will do good in motegi, maybe podium??
1) rossi ofcourse
2) nicky, but that would only be in my dreams that he ends so good
3) sete or barros

no offence to all the hopper and kenny roberts fans, but I think it will take a miracle for them (miracles as in: rossi crashes, sete makes (again) big mistake, barros/melandri/hayden/biaggi crashes out, etc) if they want to get a podium place.

but I would like to see them on the podium someday, for a change

Obviously Rossi want's this one to clinch the title !but i think Tamada will have a say also, but he has not showed the form he did last season, so this one will be a tough one to call,as i say alway's Rossi will be favourite parsay but,the home of Honda, all RCV's will have had order's to stop short of nothing less than a kamakazi performance to stop the yam of rossi crossing the line !which without doubt will be a tall order !

1.Hayden
2.Tamada
3.Rossi
4.Gibbers
Friday FP2

All the Honda riders are really going to be going for it, nothing would secure a ride more than stopping Rossi from winning the crown on home soil.

Don't be so sure that Hopkins and Roberts will be so far behind, they have new parts for the weekend that Hopkins has claimed makes the bike much more rideable on corner exit and Bridgestone have been developing a Motegi spec tire and through the first two FPs they seem to have the perfect compound. Look for Hopkins to score his first podium this weekend.
