Ducati line up next year is going to be very strong and possibly the best on the grid, especially if Nicky gels with the bike, as I hope he will. Hell if he can change his style to ride Pedrosa's bike and bring in some decent results like he has of late. I reckon if not straight away, give him a few months on the Duke and I'm sure he will click with it .
It could even be a better team than the factory Yamaha and Honda, soley because of the realtionship that Nicky and Casey are going to build as team mates, Rossi and Lorenzo get along and respect each other but there will be no such love in the Honda camp.
Casey pretty much carried Ducati on his own for the last two years and I'm sure he's eager to get a good team mate on board to even up the stakes when you look at both the Honda and Yamaha line ups
Nicky and Casey get along really well, have similar riding styles and have massive respect for each other. Nicky being one of the few outspoken last year saying that it was Casey not the bike or the tyres as the reason behind why Casey won the championship. And I read on Motogp.com that Stoner was asked for his opinion about Nicky joining the team and he approved of Ducati taking him on

Of course all of that could go south if Nicky starts beating Casey

I voted yes, On paper it looks like the perfect partnership, but as we know sometimes things never work out aswell in pratice as they do in theory, but I'm trying to keep a positive out look

Back to the topic, I voted yes. And Pinks, if you loose the bet again, I think you should choose Hongkong Phoeey as your user name. Right Curve ?

Another factor will be Ducati's motivation for Nicky to succeed. Not that they didn't want Loris or Marco to suceed but the number of riders who have struggled on the Duke must be a worry. If Nicky struggles they are going to have to rethink the design of their bike for future years.

I think Ducati will be the team to beat in 2009. I don't mind which rider comes out on top because I think they are both great. Being Aussie I guess I have a preference for Casey to win.

If you were going to sit down and have a beer with any of the riders then of course Rossi would be your first pick but Nicky would have to be your second.
