<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (VTtwinner @ Feb 28 2009, 05:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Me thinks it has to do with an agreement between WorldSBK and SpeedTV, who have bought the rights to air the races in the states. If this is true, it sucks for those of us who have ditched their dish/cable and gone stone age with an antenna. I get 17 HD channels OTA(over the air), but obviously NO Speedtv.

I've tried the proxy maneuver this morning, no worky.

Gonna get real pissy tonight if I can't watch these races live.

Yeah, that sounds a little more logical.

The proxy worked just fine for me

Superpole is awesome.

HF, Mari and Pigeon, thanks for your help. Hopefully I can sit down with a nice cocktail and watch race one before the night's festivities kick off. Thanks again.

You little techy, please do tell.

Well check this .... out. SBK has a YouTube channel. But when I click on certain videos they have posted, one was this superpole, it said it was not available in my country! ERrrr. WTF, there are now videos on YOUTUBE that are restricted based on country?!?

If it is a TV rights deal, then that is STUPID and doesn't make sense, because SPEED does NOT air practices or qualifying anyway. Just the races. So I don't see why they would deny us the superpole! What is going on, has Dorna infiltrated the offices of WSBK? I can't even contact worldsbk.com for an explination! C'mon Flammini borthers, were are your customers!

MERGE THESE 3 THREADS PLEASE! I plead with you. C'mon Mari, I promise I will kiss your ... from now on. Really.

http://www.youtube.com/sbk

That works for me Jumkie. It is more of your location or internet provider. When I go home in Grand Rapids only 50 miles away with Comcast internet I do not get any videos from WSBK's site, but here in Big Rapids, with Charter internet, I get everything put the live stuff.

Personally, I will use tomorrow to watch the stuff on the website when it is put up. Being live for me doesn't work today.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Babelfish @ Feb 28 2009, 03:45 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>LOL. It's not really directed at you Junkie, but I had to have a laugh. About 4 to 8 years ago thousands of angry people where screaming the same accusations at the flammini brothers.
The interesting part is that from there on it has been going the right way, which also means that under that time they must have done som of the right things. What I mean is that only when you start doing the right things you hit the bottom and start the way up again.
Wonder when Dorna hit the bottom.
I agree with this. Good post.

WSBK

Great, only 4 threads on the same .....

MERGE.

(Not even counting Curve's thread in "other motorsports" as if there is not a "superbikes" section.)

No HF, I think you missed my meaning. I do get the highlights on youtube. But the channel also posted the "superpole" session. And its this they are not giving us.

Again, I can get the highlights, as a matter of fact I was the first person in one of these WSBK threads to post a link!

Perhaps you can contact somebody who might know about these things. You think a person that walks around paddocks in the capacity to gather such information might know something that could shed some light on the matter? You know, like say a former racer who now gets paid to be a journalist. Nah, that would be stupid. Sorry for the suggestion.

who gets what even at factory level.? WSBK.SUPERSPORT etc
who knows..do riders get any say ?

part of J.T's 2007 world championship sucess was down to him dumping the Honda swingarm and getting one supplied from a small factory.IMO

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Feb 28 2009, 07:33 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I see you lurking Migs. Go ahead, tell us how much the American Ben Spies sucks.

If you look back a few weeks ago you will have read that I think Spies will go in top 3 this year....but Haga will prevail (I Hope) and Rea will come in top 3 as well....

The only issue for Spies may come up with track knowledge and I belive you actually gave that as a reason why he might get beat.....PI is an exception to that rule since the teams tested there just last week....

I am not mostly worried that Haga won't do it and it will the Fabrizio leading the Duc Factory charge....

I have to say I am blown away with Haslam's performance today....I still think he will fail to deliver though.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Feb 28 2009, 12:32 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>True, regardless though. Its a new track, new rig, new show, against some top staff. That's gotta at least get you an 'ataboy' from a resident Yanky hatter.

Jum, I just used one of those proxy IP's from the link that I posted. Worked good. The proxy did have some kind of disclaimer stating that they are monitoring the use, who the hell knows what that means. I'll see you on JustinTV tonight at 11?? I may tune in for the supersport race too.

Edit - link dead.

Try this if your stuck without coverage tonight? (not sure it will work but hey worth a shot)

If anyone's not yet viewed or downloaded the Superpole session.

I think this is the SpeedTV coverage(?) Jonathan Green and Steve Martin.

I'm so pissed off!!!

no live on eurosport! all I can see is ab rocket and another teleshop crap
<
<
<

tried with stream too, but that was pure masochism
anyway, thanks to those who put live links here, although it wasn't good for me. low picture quality (useless on TV) and because my internet is pretty slow it was like a broken record. wsbk stream has good quality but it was like 1 minute ok and then 3 minutes of pictures from the race, and like that through the whole race.

Thanks Geonerd, that link worked for the superpole. How about the Race 1? Can you work your magic?
