I doubt Stoner will settle for anything other than a win.

He will roll the dice rather than settling.

Five in a row is what he will be after.

Can you Aussie guys give us an update on the weather, are we stuck with the rain. Those Ducs may see the podium.

There is dark grey/black clouds one way and blue sky the other.

Hail has been forecast???

Weather changes every 30mins.

Only thing I know is the wind is freeeezing

Sun at the moment in 125cc

Started damp but dried up - reports clouds disappearing

This is exactly the sort of weather we were having in Adelaide yesterday.....squally showers followed by periods of sunshine...the rain eventually cleared late in the afternoon but the wind persisted all day long. It will be a lottery when it comes to race time as to wether we see rain or not. Typically Phillip Island.

Warning - slight gore

Feel bad for both Lorenzo & Stoner.

For sure Stoner wouldn't want to win like this.

Absolutely. Respect for jorge, his defence of his title has been entirely admirable. He has gone down fighting as he was doing in the warm up, endeavouring to extract every last inch, but deserved to do so in a race.

And Cudlin will not race.

Still suffering from injuries sustained in his highside

Just as well they changed the formula from the old more dangerous one.

I don't get you? I'm not a subscriber to the 1000's are safer ( nor that 800's are safer ) ( more of a subscriber to the give some guys a bike and they will find the limit of safety, then play with that ) .......

To me "chat" about capacity v's safety is a moot point. I'm not involved, cos its a nonsense,

My point which I have made previously is that the supposed major justification for this formula was that it was to improve safety. Whether or not the formula is bad in other ways, particularly in regard to the expense of the bikes which appears to have vastly increased, there seem to be more rather than less crashes and rider injuries, imo possibly related to the bikes giving little warning when close to the edge. Even if you want to ascribe this to other riders having to push too hard to compete with stoner, I can't see how it is desirable.

I'm absolutely gutted for Lorenzo. Hope they can reattach the finger, looks like a scene from a horror movie.

Also hope Spies and Cudlin will recover, and that Cudlin will get another shot to show the world what he can do.

I can imagine Stoner being very unhappy with this. Lots of pressure on the guy today, hope he'll keep it all together.
