Pending Dorna Bailout (Rossi threatening not to race in Valencia)

There is an article around that is said to quote Ianonne's manager where in it he states that Rossi has never trusted Marquez

MotoGP Sepang 2015, Pernat: "Marquez ha sempre odiato Rossi"

I have not found a translation but base my comments on those within the place I found the article - many are not that complimentary of a number that when added together totals 10
The title is: "Marquez has always hated Rossi."

Holy ...., this do is Evil!

Google translate is decent enough. Check it out. Jesus man, no wonder Rossi is crazy, this mothafucker has been feeding Iannone lies too. Now the Iannone's awkward and reluctant comment to agree with Rossi comes into full view.

There is also this one Jums - where VR is alleged to have thrown Marquez's manager under the bus somewhat.

Rossi unsure if he will race in Valencia MotoGP decider

The 'under the bus bits'

Elaborating on his comments that Marquez got what he wanted by effectively deciding the title in favour of Lorenzo, Rossi claimed he had received confirmation from the Honda rider’s manager Emilio Alzamora that this was exactly the case.

“As I said on Thursday, this is for what happened between us at Argentina and Assen,” said Rossi.

“I had confirmation from Alzamora; he told me that Marc thinks I made him lose the championship.

“He is surely a bad loser.”

Yes, he won 9 championship by chance and mafia. Live in denial...
So naturally he should win a 10th or 8th title title rather than Lorenzo winning his 5th or 3rd.

What have how many titles he has won got to do with him running another rider off the track?

I'm still laughing at Povol using the term "tongue lashing". That was as fantastic use of the English language as I've seen. I don't know why it tickled me so much, but I just had a vision, the silhouette of the man with the top hat and a big sledgehammer talking down to a mouse, Rossi talking down to Pedrosa "WHY YOU RACE ME SO HARD! WHY WHY WHY ME!?

Ah I see. So allegedly, he said she said etc. This then led to Marc arriving with a bomb vest under his leathers? Goddammmn Rossi is straight jacket nuts!

I wonder if Rossi has ever played a game of telephone?

And here is another thought. How many sports athletes in all across the spectrum are a bit crazy? Probably plenty. But this situation is very unique in that his fans are just as crazy if not crazier then the popular athletes. Seriously it is not an exaggeration to describe it as a classic cult. But the scary kinda cult. The kind who commit suicide or murder type.

Now that Race Direction has openly said there's essentially nothing wrong a rider attempting to fix the outcome of a race, Pandora's box has been opened. I'd like to believe attempts to fix races were rare before Sepang, but now it's going to be a lot more common unless Dorna creates a new rule.
I think it will be hard to make a rule against fixing races by in fact racing.

In regard to some of your other posts, if you want to ignore Motegi 2010 as an example of Rossi putting at least as hard a pass as any on him by MM at Sepang on a championship contender when not in contention himself, and Jerez 2011 when he actually took out the championship leader with an unfeasible move which was to gain 2nd place quite early in a race and the championship leader concerned was prepared to concede the corner, there is a more recent analogous situation.

Rossi has the lead in the championship among other reasons because Lorenzo crashed out at Misano. Jorge commented post race that it was a riding error on his part, and that his error had been to push too hard too early after changing his tyres, and that this had been prompted by Scott Redding passing him. His error, his problem; there was no reference at all to Redding not being in contention for the championship and being a prick for racing him.

I kind of had a vision of a ....... snake with his tongue darting to and fro:)

Fantastic post Povol.

He also interrogated Pedrosa and Iannone for, get this, RACING Him.

I still get this sinking feeling, Honda 1-2, the seas parts for Rossi who comes 4-6, wins the title, and his deliberate attempt to crash out a fellow competitor is all forgotten. Of course, after some ........ apology. Rossi GOAT.

Cue sunset.

As I've said before on here, that is exactly how it will play out. Everyone will stumble out of Rossi's way and he'll be in 10th by the end of the first lap.

This will then lead to over excited commentators being incredulous at this 'miraculous' rise through the field and mumbled comments that although they can't condone what he did, you have to respect his incredible talent.

That this will happen is as obvious as Rossi's intentions towards Marquez were when they entered that fateful corner.

So if he gets back into a good position, it will only be because they let him? At Qatar this year did everyone let Marquez back through to the front because he is the current world champion? We won't even discuss him ramming through Bautista, ....... his bike up and ending his race.

The point is that Rossi apparently believes it should be mandatory for him to be let through going by his recent arguments, not an expectation Jorge Lorenzo seems to have or which afaik MM has ever had when in contention, manifold though his faults may be otherwise.

While I agree absolutely no one should be given any special treatment, regardless of championship standing, I don't think that if Valentino pulls it off it will be because anyone let him through. If anything, given the way the boppers have been acting, I think it will make it more difficult for them.
