Fashionably late.

Thats the only way

besides I have heard a saying extolling the virtues of "kicking a man whilst he is down", and quite clearly cockoo is down ..... so I'm in for a boot ....... especially since you all have conveniently "tenderised" him a bit for me

I had one embedded in my sinus for 30 years... Had it removed and my IQ went up 100 points!! No wait, that was Homer!!

And still managed to write a not too shabby screenplay for Brad Pitt.

Of all the motogp world champions who has taken the longest to get the job done?  My old school history isn't great, but I've ruled out KRSR already, best I can come up with is Criville winning on his 8th attempt, this will be Dani's 8th try too.

Schwantz was also in his 8th year.

Honda's plan regarding the MotoGP World Champ is naturally Pedrosa in 2013 and Marquez in subsequent years.

After 2013, Marquez will be the #1 rider so for Pedro everything will become more difficult again. So it is true 2013 looks like a unique chance for him, now that Casey is gone.

But Lorenzo as the title holder is still the obvious favorite. Between him and Pedrosa, much will depend on consistency just as in 2012.

Really? I thought Kevin went to GP full time in 88

I said 8th year, not 8th full year :)  He did 4 races in 1986 for Rizla Suzuki & 3 in 1987 for Herron Suzuki according to Wikipedia

So you think that Rossi's twelve years in GP including a GP championship in 500s, 79 victories, 141 podiums and seven world championships and just having been handed the keys to one of the best bikes in the field and he's going to get his ... handed to him by a rookie?

I think you are deluded.

Rossi hasn't become a bad rider just because he spent time out in the wild with a bike he (and no-one else, either) could gel with. He may not be the rider he was back in 1998, but he is still miles ahead of nearly every other rider on the planet.

The only way Marquez is going to beat Rossi, Lorenzo or Pedrosa to win a race is if all of them have some setup issue, an injury or some environmental factor affects the race.

LoL.

You know that egg The Deal was talking about.... hmmm. I think I ended up in a trough of it. :)

OK, I admit, the rookie has some serious, mad skillz. But Rossi is circulating the same speed as he was in 2010. QP in 2010 1'39.558, QP this year 1'39.300, therefore he hasn't gotten any slower - but the rest of the field has gotten better.

Or maybe the track could be better for everyone, so Rossi rode inside his own 2010 pace. It's unfair to compare lap times among different seasons.

Anyway, I understand much of you don't give the needed credit to the rookie, it's ok.

He isn't riding the 2010 bike though, so he may well be somewhat slower. It's a shame, but I don't think he is going to be in the mix very often this year.

Yeah, because when I said "the rookie has some serious, mad skillz." I really meant, "I hope the cocksucking little Spanish turd breaks his neck".

Naah, deal. It was a hyperbolic reply to make a point. Read it again.

Harness that vitriol for those who'd proudly wear an Uccio-signed #46 cap
