Pedrosa to Yamaha

As Krop mentioned, Pedrosa now confirmed at Honda until the end of 2018.

What's the bet he retires after that?
Yeah I reckon he could Hong up his boots after that.

I don't know why but I can't see Dani on a satellite bike and he has had that many injuries he will probably just call it quits.

Shame really, seems like a top bloke. When he battled at Aragon last year I thought wow this is a new Dani, but it seems it was a one off.

almost 10 years..still doesn't want to exit his comfort zone.
almost 10 years..did he learned anything?

I dont think this was Dani's decision. The offer was contingent on Vinales not taking the ride would be my guess.

He finished 6th, 3rd and 4th and was taken out in America by another rider, and is currently 4th in the championship behind his team mate and the Yamaha's. Bearing in mind Marquez and Alzamora (his manager) are happy with being #1 in the team, what is your definition of not good enough?

I don't say that in a nasty way, I am simply curious. Pedrosa brings a lot more to Yamaha than on track results. He is a good team mate for Marquez, usually at the least podiums when Marquez doesn't, and is an experienced rider for development.

I'm surprised that Honda chose to renew him, his performances are simply not good enough IMO.

You do know the only reason Honda is 2nd in the constructor's title is because of Marquez right? Outside of him, everyone else is struggling with the RCV. It's a difficult bike, and taking that into account there isn't anyone else that you'd really want on the bike. Though I suspect Iannone would be able to handle it well, you want someone who can try and develop the bike. Outside of him, there's no one else worthy putting in that seat for 2017, or even 2018.

I would try on Pol Esp..

?

My bad, He crashed out and took Dovi with him.

Just checking you were paying attention Povol ;)

After seen Pol's practice time with following MM compare when he following VR, I'm afraid his complains on M1 characteristics was not dellusional.

either way, I had not enough reason to put him on RCVs.

Year after year I keep hearing the same ........ excuses about Pedrosa. I also keep hearing Ducatis going to win races.
In the meantime Danny still sucks, and the Ducati is still a piece of ....

Granted he isn't having the best of seasons so far, that's more to do with the Honda being a p.o.s that only MM seems to able to ride around. If HRC can sort the rear traction out you will see Dani back up the front.

Theres a 1 out of 2 shot that Honda wins the championship this year. Despite the 20000 pages on this forum debating the contrary, Rossi will not win the championship this or any other year. It's going to come down between Lorenzo and Marquez. If Marquez is able to put that supposed ratchet bike on the first or second step and Pedrosa ONCE AGAIN has a pathetic season, you cant legitimately present an arguement that he belongs there
I propose all of the Rossi haters and Pedrosa defenders to take the microscope off Rossi for 1 day and place it on Pedrosa.
You can't give him a pass because the bike is not good enough this year when the years the bike was the best he was still losing.
Hayden and Dovi were both thrown off that team with comperable results

Hayden won a championship so he had better results. Dovi only won one race.

I don't think Dani has ever had it in him to be a premier class champion. I still think he is better than all the others out there except Lorenzo, Marquez and Rossi however, and I will be extremely surprised if Vinales wins 10 races let alone 20.

Rossi has a chance if it comes down to being between him and lorenzo this year imo. The more competitive MM is the more chance for Jorge to repeat imo, Yamaha will need JL to beat a competitive MM, as you would agree I imagine.

It's rossi's to lose this year I reckon. Yam will pull support of Lorenzo from Brno.

If Honda don't sort the bike MM can only ride that thing so much before he has to settle for lower places or crash.

I keep hearing if Danny gets ______ ( insert excuse here ) he will win. He's the only rider I can recall that HRC ever built a custom bike for and still couldnt win. You can sell me on Dani deserving to be there because he's Marc's test mule but lets stop pretending he's still there based on his potential or results.

Pedro is there because he makes Alzamoron comfortable.

Like Krops said, nobody knows who purposefully planted the Onion news item that Pedro was going to Yamaha, but one thing is clear, it had the desired affect.
