By that argument Stoner would be #10, Rossi #4, Vermin & Capi would have to fight it out for #1 (my money's on Capi - age and treachery and all that

The statement from the team on crash.net says that he has made the number change as part of a tradition 'which dictates that a rider bears the number that reflects the victories obtained during the previous twelve months'.

I quoted it in my post, added the same bolding as here...

you were being serious??

I took it as Jest at the creative use of the words in that crash.net article ..... and hence joined the mirth, as I had already spotted the "verbal creativity" and commented on it in my post #3 in this thread:

either that or ..... carry on ... I have obviously offended you and Babel.s delicate little hearts, and you have decided to sook at everything I say

As usual, lots of words, no to answer to question.

What did I, in your opinion, misread?

Obviously I wasn't being serious, but I can't get my head round how this:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>I knew it!!! .... you misread stuff on purpose!!
I had to try hard to even think like that
can be construed as "joining in the mirth".

And if you "had to try hard to even think like that" by post #45, how come you claim have spotted the "verbal creativity" long before in post #3
<

You should know by now that I don't "sook", I bite back.
<

BTW, my first post (#2) seemed confused because motogp.com had changed all the wording by the time everyone else read it. See post #36 for explanation.

Well no, I "got it" (and its ability to be misconstrued) before post 3, in fact I saw the first Crash.net wording also. Where I think the problem lies, is that it appears to have taken you till post 45 to "get" that I "got it"
<
kind explains a lot of the previous postings with you as well.

Back on topic.... about that original article. What I did also see at the time of post #3:

The early wording of that article could also have been misconstrued to indicate that indeed Rossi had come second as the context of the "reflection of the number of victories" also made one think ... who got the second highest number of victories ( wins )? .... or conversly ( had one not followed the season, and had not known ) that Pedrosa had the 2nd highest number of victories ( wins ) for the season, for that reason I feel it was changed. It was so poorly written that I took it to be an attempt at spin by Honda to reaffirm that Pedrosa earned 2nd place and indeed seemed to be covering up the fact that even though Pedrosa did get 2nd place ..... he had a lesser number of victories than Rossi in 3rd.

Nope - no answers, just a few more insults. Similar to your previous postings when a question is asked that you cannot answer 'cos you didn't read stuff properly before posting

BTW the site which changed its wording was not crash.net, but motogp.com - Try to keep up please.

How could u offend anyone with this?
You ...... up again and yamaka confront you again, and as usuall you start an endless row of attempts to get off. Really amusing to watch, and I admire Yamaka to have the patience to stand up and confront you with all your incosistencies. I gave up a long time ago and should not answere you at all as the rule #1 is "Do not feed the trolls" but what can I say; I'm human, I'm not faultless

not that i will pretend to understand or agree with this new number because being 2nd in the championship and having 2 wins is not a great reason for riding with it, quite the opposite in fact - its lame (and i have loads of 26 stuff!

Ive noticed something about pedrosa in every race that he gets a podium he will allways spray the champaine while standing on the number 1 block even tho he did come 1st

i think he must just want to be a winner but at the end of the day hes a big mouth jockey sized .... head.....

Haha, Yeah I do talk a lot of .... buddy. On rare occasion, I even make sense. You're at a disadvantage I'm afraid on this one. Why, well you are one of the few who actually is a fan of Peders. As you know, I can't stand the guy. I'm not really sure how anybody could be a fan of his because to the casual spectator like me, he seems a rather vile, unappreciative, and arrogant person. All traits that I don't like in any human no matter how fast they are on a bike. Sure, I acknowledge the guy has extraordinary talent. And so, my .... talking must really get under fans of his like you. Though I must admit, you seem to be one of the more moderate ones. Your comments are fair for the most part, so I hardly ever get into it with you. There are other fans here, one on this thread above, that frankly, I find it very uninteresting. But I think it just an age thing, I'm old. Anyway, sorry about my hater status for your boy, I like to find every opportunity to talk .... about him, even if its over something as trivial as a number plate change.

Anyway Killing Dead, don't take it too personal.

yeah, he always does it! its quite funny really, its obvious thats where he wants to be... and he has to stand on the top step for the photos anyway, otherwise photographers would only get the top if his head, if that! bless him

ok, i'll give you that. on rare occasion you do make sense, yes.

i can understand why you and many others dont like Dani and i respect that, it doesnt bother me that you can almost count his fans (outside of spain) on one hand
<
because everyone is entitled to their opinion and i just happen to be different. however, what i do object to is the mindless insults and vicious remarks, this is what bothers me and it really gets up my nose. i mean, there's plenty that i could say about the likes of hopkins, edwards and lorenzo (though lorenzo is actually growing on me) because i really dont like them, but i dont because there's no bloody need! the trouble is nobody thinks of anybody else...

anyway, i know how important it is to discuss number changes and comments from the latest interview
<
so i'll let you continue without much input, i'd just prefer less of the idiotic comments thats all

' my boy'
<
so, im one of the more moderate ones am i?... whatever that means

i'm not going to bore you with my reasons for my liking him but believe it or not, he does have some good points!

I'v always noticed that when he's holding the Champagne bottle he seems to dissapear behind it.
