That poor ........ Chances are he's completely misunderstood at yet Puig just makes it worse all the time. He needs to hire some PR people, put on at least 5 kg of muscle, and quit prancing around the paddock.

i thought the #26 is something special for him, so why not stick with #26

Ok - I've not seen this happen before, so maybe motogp.com trawls this board. The wording of that link was utterly different when it was first posted. The second paragraph said something like

"due to Pedrosa's talent and great regularity he has gone from Rookie of the year in 2006 to runner up in the World Championship in only his second year"

Hence my comment

The first para was about the same as it is now, but the third para was the final one and went on about how Pedrobot was serving notice on the paddock that no 2 is only one step away from no 1 and how he will be making that step in 2008.

I rather think that DirtyD86 would have worded his post for the start of the thread slightly different if the wording on motogp.com had been as toned down as it is now.

Just a thought - what happens should Dani finish neither 1st nor 2nd in 2008?

Will he adopt his new WC finishing number (assuming it's available) or will he revert to #26?
