Also, what are they trying to say with the "great regularity" phrase? Being "Regular" is usually something you discuss with your doctor!
 
Bout time too ..... bring back the good old days when the riders wore the number they earned!

It may seem like the old days too this season with a number 1 and 2 battling it out at the lead.

Do you mean the 3rd paragraph with the bit about " reflection the number of victories"??

The 2nd paragraph is quite factual ...... but I guess they do make one think that the existing riders were "slackers"

Well I do think it’s pathetic. He thinks coming in second is some kind of award or something? He hasn't don this before, so I don't think he's doing it for any respect to tradition. He has no repect for the traditions of the sport, this is just a very lame statement. He reminds of Alex Creville, all arrogance and zero heart. I hope to see him sporting the number 5+ next year. We will see if he doesn't earn the title or the runner up, will he go up a number? Yeah, we'll see then if its really a nostalgic attempt to respect the old school way of doing things. What kind of statement will that be 2, then 3, then 4, then 5....Please, its just another one of his Puig induced attemps to make a very weak statement.

Pedrosa is only good for one thing, that is to talk .....

Number 2 means only one thing to me, and So the Number is Very fitting for the little Sht!

if he wants to sport a new number, let him have it...

coz it wouldn't change things...it's just a number. Whether he'll be fast or not, whether he'll win the championship or not is a question he can only answer on the track, and not by a number.
 
I woder what would have been the discussion of other rider then Dani would have done that. (really what if Rossi would have had the number 3 or Hayden nr 8 ?!?
is his choice so if he wants the number 2 ...good on him!
We'll se on track what happens ...
 
There's nothing wrong with that. I remember Rainey using no.2 in 1989.Did he want to be known as the first loser?
I wonder about some people on this website sometimes.

maybe hes changed to #2 so that he might confuse a few fans of the "other" repsol rider?

hell be going round laguna and indy, and they will be looking for the #26 bike to throw bricks at...
but there will be a #2 only and most people will confuse that rider with a midget test robot...

either that or hayden is really screwed.... honda are sandbagging with the 08 rcv and its actually really ....... small. so small, that its nose only has space for a 2 and not a 26!
