It's official Oliveira has signed to KTM Tech 3 for next season. Great news IMO with him and Pecco coming up plus the possibility of others there could be an exciting shake up in the class.

Olievera in my opinion will offer up far more than Zarco.

I like both of them, I expect they'll keep each other honest on track :D

BTW bye Asparagus, its been a long time coming, but I think he will be the lemon on the KTM tree.

KTM Factory:
Zarco; Pol E

KTM Tech 3 Satellite:
Oliviera; Syahrin

Tech 3 gets full factory bike but will be testing new parts during the season. I doubt Oliviera and Zarco will be jousting.

I imagine they will be testing new parts, but at the after race events rather than in the course of a race weekend, plus of course preseason and at private tests, adds up to a lot of days.

I think Oliveira will push Asparagus out after 2 years.

According to Herve, Tech 3 is to be a "junior" team, developing the bike and young riders to move up to the full factory team.

Theoretically then, a two year cycle in the junior team - one year to familiarize, one year to perform - would make sense.

Quicker cycle is one of the factory guys is really .... and one of the juniors is a star.

This has been Herve's strategy for awhile. He has been pushing out the older riders. He was quite open about it with Smith, for example.
