That's it. What it means regarding Rossi's tires are still in the sky.

well as some of us pointed out earlier, rossi's tyre choice and dorna thinking about control tyres are 2 totally different issues.

Well if he stays with Michelin then you're right, but if he announces he's on Bridgestone's then that suspicion most definitely remains strong. You surely didn't think they would announce both at exactly the same time after all the public scrutiny going on did you?

Especially if he is the ONLY one getting Bridgestones.Do you guys think he won a coin toss.

I think Bridgestone are holding out because all this speculation is just too much to resist. Face it, they've never had a tenth of the publicity they're getting at the moment.

truly.... plus don't forget the publicity that bridgestone will be able to exploit when rossi is ridin around on their rubber! it really is gonna put alot of pressure on michelin. they better pull somethin out!

i told you before, bridgestone have stronger corporate ties with yamaha than honda according to eurosport commentary which is normally pretty reliable., so if anybody were to get them it would not be honda riders and seeing as vale is the yam #1 rider it stands to reason he would be the one to get them just like any other new better part.

Well Rossi really has got to have some guts if it turns out that he does get bridgestones and Lorenzo gets michelin, he really has an awful lot to lose if Lorenzo whoops his ... on michelins it could either be THE most inspired decision...........or the worst decision in the history of MGP. BUT if anyone can pull off such a ridiculous idea of having team mates on different tyres then Rossi can............

Still this two tyre idea is just completely insane in my humble opinion but it will probably give yamaha and bridgestone and michelin mad publicity and the loser will be the tyre company who doesn't cut the mustard then Roger might finally shut up

once upon a time everyone said rossi was only winning because he was on the honda, so he switched to yam. did anybody moan about that ? no they did not because yam was seen as a second rate package. now he wants to switch to stones people are whinning, why ? because its seen as superior. he is being bl;amed for any desisions dorna may have made, he is even being blamed for pedrosa aledgedly being told no by stones, how can i shut up liz when im reading 4 threads devoted to this factless garbage ?
but im still smiling, took a break from you rossi haters to play with my mate curve today, just as well or i might have blown a fuse and told a few to %^$£"(&^%&^&.

All 4 threads are actually making a compelling argument for a control tyre, unfortunately.

as ive said countless times, im in the no camp ,but im sure sweetening to the idea mike.
i think this is all tyre marketing ploys, look how much people are now talking about there product, were all a bunch of suckers

<
we should be talking about the bikes and who's riding what bike on which team during the silly season, no boring tyres.

No, we think that he is the most popular rider, by a margin, a fact neither Dorna or Bridgestone can ignore.

It's perfectly possible that Dorna want to "help" Rossi as a way to help themselves.
Bridgestone on their side must consider how many buyers they loose if they deny Rossi their tires, and even more important, just like in the rest of the sport, if one suplier seems to have an edge the rest play the catch up game, and AFAIK no one has never really lost that game. Some give up but those staying in the game catch up sooner or later. Michelin with Pedrosa and Rossi as their top riders with new rules next year will be a tough competition. Taking him in will weaken the competition.
