Nicky Undergoes Surgery Again....

Haystack

He may be done. After the description of the operation, I would not be surprised.

Too bad cause I think he could have kept improving the bike.

Speedweek is reporting that Nicky will definitely miss Misano now...

And Herrin having been fired that means no riders from the USA will ride at Misano

Don't write off Nicky.

Let's not forget that he was evenly matched with both Vale and Dovi on the Ducati. Both Vale and Dovi have moved to better bikes, but Nicky can still be competitive, if his performances on the Ducati mean anything. In fact, I recall that he was even beating Casey for the first 7 or 8 rounds in 2010.

Nicky was beating Casey for a good part of that year in points....but Casey falling a lot that year....by the end of the season Casey had been on the podium 11 times, including 3 race wins....Nicky on the other had 1 3rd place....

You have to think though one heavy breaking corner too many and his wrist may not hold out...given his not ridden a MotoGP bike for a long time months now...

If Nicky doesn't return until Japan then he has to face the bike fast down hill right hand 90 degree turn 11 first before we can really believe he is fully fit....

If return at Aragon at least he gets a slightly safer test with turn 16 at the end of the back straight...which I believe that is where he crashed over the fence in 2012 ... before facing Japan...

Eitherway both turn require heavy breaking, so lots of pressure on the wrists, and Japan especially as its down his and going right.....If Nicky cant handle those tracks well or at all then he's done....

We shall see soon enough.....and Good luck to him....
