Nick in X-games

You know I could be wrong, but I saw neither pastrana nor MC on the list to compete in the supermoto (which means nothing)
depending on how the course is set up....more pavement than dirt, or more dirt than pavement plays a big part sometimes, in who wins.

BTW: I looked for your name Big C, but didn't see it

The race is supposed to be on ESPN2 at 7 est-4 pacific unless you live in Houston and I get to see the US against whoever olympic basketball game. I gave up caring about olympic basketball when they let the pros in who don't care.

Of course, Travis should be there too. Damn, my two racing heroes at one event, I'm gonna explode!

(Side Note: Hey Rog, the bikenight we went to was in the city of Carson, 5 minutes away from the Home Depot Center where they have the X-Games--MotoX, SuperMoto, & Rally Car. You should have stayed another 2 weeks. You could have got an earthquake and X-Games to boot).
ive just said those exact words to my misses

I'd love to turn one of mine into that bad boy

According to 'Soup Hayden is about a second off the pace. The layout has changed since he agreed to do the race, there is more dirt and one triple jump where the previous layout had none.

Curvey
Airs tomorrow night ( sat Aug 2nd) between 7 and 9 pm EST on ESPN 2.

I don't see a lot of supermoto but I have noticed that Nicky drags the knee thru the paved corners rather than kick the leg MX style like everyone else. They showed a little clip of him practicing and he seems to be able to flick the bike quicker using that technique.
It's strange to me because he comes from a dirt track backround where you always throw the leg.
I wonder if because of all his roadracing experience he's found a better way.
You supermoto guys may have an answer for that.

Just found it <span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>tvu://60980

Nicky pulled out. Said something like he hurt his ankle. He had said the track was slicker than what he thought.

Didn't want to risk it for MotoGP it sounds. He would have not been a contender so he pulled out.

Just heard that as well, the commentators sounded a bit disappointed too.

On the bright side, I finally located ESPN2
<
And now find myself really enjoying the loonies with their BMX bikes.

Burkhart would have trounced the field, but it would have been nice to see Nicky race. Last time a MotoGP rider did anything outside the series was Rossi and his rallying bug he had to itch.

Too much dirt and yes the track looked very dangerous. That one dude crashed right into the cement barrier.

Would have been nice to see Nicky ruin his Honda contract and find himself on the Ducati for the rest of the season though

Not that was going to happen, it was only wishful thinking.

WOW!! Now that is what I call serious lean angle!
Shame Nicky had to pull out, from the old footage he looked fantastic.
Prob the right decision if the track was that dangerous. Can anybody upload footage as poor English bloke with no channels...
